Qué harás

Discover how cultivating kindness through mindfulness practices can be deeply nurturing and healing.
We'll start with a short welcome and a chance to introduce yourselves and then we'll dive in with a short settling practice.
The session will be mostly experiential - I will gently guide you through some simple, mindfulness practices which may include sitting, a lying down bodyscan and some mindful stretching or walking.
There'll be a chance for a bit of inquiry, so you can share your experience if you choose to (it's optional).
When we practise mindfulness, we can have all sorts of experiences including restlessness, a sense of calm, an ache in the back, sleepiness, distractions etc. Instead of struggling with these, we can see how it is to bring a sense of friendliness and kindness towards them.
Whether you are feeling off-balance, stressed, busy, in pain, anxious or calm, mindfulness practice offers a chance to meet yourself exactly as you are, with compassion and kindness.
Hopefully you'll finish the session feeling refreshed and you'll have learnt some skills to help ground yourself when you find things get busy, stressed or overwhelming. Many participants later find that they're noticing and appreciating things more.

I qualified as an Alexander Technique teacher in April 2008 (MSTAT) and then trained to teach Mindfulness with Breathworks and Bangor University and Exeter University. I am a listed teacher on the UK Mindfulness Network which requires teachers to have undergone in-depth training, a personal practice and adherence to Good Practice Guidelines.

Both practices enhance my own well-being and help me make better choices in day-to-day life as well as enabling me to work in a heart-centred way with my pupils and clients. I love that this work is about supporting others to thrive and have more say in their own wellbeing.
