Hi! I am ridiculously passionate about teaching others about the natural world and how to grow food. I've been able to feed myself from my back garden for over 10 years; now stuffed with over 40 edibles, planted and grown by my fair hands. I have designed, constructed and run two local community gardens. In 2017 I won an 'In Bloom' silver gilt for a garden I revamped with a charity. I run a project supporting carers and those with chronic illness to engage with gardening. I deliver 'Groceries from the Garden Q&A' sessions for a local council and have run two allotment wellbeing projects for them - teaching others to grow their own food. I want to empower you to take your first steps towards self sufficiency by growing your own from your backdoor.
COVID- spare gloves, masks and hand - gel will be available on experience.

Donde estarás

Guests will be in a beautiful, productive, spacious garden that attracts all manner of birds, insects and frogs. They will be in the company of chatty chickens (but don't believe everything they say) and maybe 3 cats if they deign to join us. The garden is in a quiet, rural, picturesque, medieval town, overlooked by Denbigh castle. It is an unexpected fruitful paradise. It's like stepping into a different world

Excellent few hours learning from Isa. Answered all my questions, so lovely to be around like minded people. 2 others in the group as well as myself and my mum, they were lovely too and asked great questions, nice to learn from everyone! Isa is very knowledgeable, the chickens are great, so full of character. Isa is keen to show how much you can do with the space you have, you don’t need an allotment or farm to be able to grow your own. We feel much happier about keeping chickens now and my mum even held one, they’re very soft! Isa was really accommodating with hot drinks and snacks on arrival, beware - the chickens like Welsh cakes too! A lovely experience throughout, the time flew and we really enjoyed. Thank you Isa!

Lots of helpful tips and knowledge sharing. The hens were cheeky and stole some of our nibbles whilst we weren’t looking, but getting familiar with them, feeding, holding and stroking one definitely made up for it! I really enjoyed it and would recommend. :)

The experience was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot - and came away with cutting and fruit and some home made vinegar. We thoroughly recommend this experience.

Isa has lots of wonderful knowledge and experience to share in more sustainable living by producing and preserving foods from the garden. If you are interested in increasing your self-reliance from growing your own then it’s an excellent place to start!

isa was lovely andwelcoming and was very knowledgable about how to grow and harvest vegetable which I thoroughly enjoyed and learned a lot but I thought the experience was quite expensive for what it was and excepted more hands on harvesting experience and I thought isa found it difficult to include my boyfriend in the experience and the venue was difficult to find but I did enjoy

We thoroughly enjoyed our ‘groceries in the garden’ experience. Isa was extremely informative and gave us a lot of insight into growing fruit and vegetables in your own back garden. After taking a tour round her beautiful garden we also got to enjoy hands-on activities including feeding chickens, re-potting plants and cultivating potato’s. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about gardening food, or anyone who is looking for a therapeutic relaxing, educational experience. This best way to end our 3 day trip in Wales. Isa was a lovely host, she was honest, down to earth, had great energy and we left feeling grounded and inspired. Thank you Isa!!
