We start our wild adventure in Scotland's largest city Glasgow; meeting at Glasgow Queen Street station, we will board the train and leave the city behind, bound on the West Highland railway line for the wee village of Tarbet, deep in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Tarbet sits on the "bonnie banks" of Loch Lomond, Scotland's largest and arguably most famous loch.

From here, we will leave the bustling west shores of the Loch behind and head across the water on a ferry destined for the small rural hamlet of Inversnaid. The half an hour crossing, operated by Cruise Loch Lomond, includes live, informative commentary as well as full bar facilities and restrooms. Once in Inversnaid, and now away from the tourists, this is where your unique adventure can begin. Surrounded by breathtaking views, this hard to reach spot is an RSPB Nature Reserve where Atlantic oaks tower up from the shores of the Loch creating a stunning backdrop to your adventure.

Inversnaid provides a great stop for weary hikers on the 96 mile long distance hike from Glasgow to Fort William. You too can walk a section of the famous West Highland way in search of a secluded location to sit, relax and feast on one of the main highlights of the day; an Artisan Afternoon Tea by the open fire.

Once suitably full, we will journey back to the city, admiring the beautiful views as we return to civilisation.

Hi, my name is Emma; I live in Glasgow and I have a passion for life, adventure and cake! From swimming in ice cold lochs, to climbing over 70 of the highest peaks in Scotland - there is nothing that makes me feel more alive than being out in the wilds and enjoying the stunning views and clarity of mind it gives me.

With this in mind; I decided to share some of my favourite places with people either visiting Scotland for the first time or locals who would love to see more of our beautiful country.

I am a member of Mountaineering Scotland and am currently in the process of achieving my Hill & Moorland Leader qualification as well as my Wilderness First Aid qualification.

Come on an adventure with me; and have memories to last you a lifetime.

Donde estarás

It is easy to see why Scotland was ranked in the world's top 10 must see places for 2019 (Lonely Planet). The inviting waters of the Loch, the towering Atlantic oak forest and the sprinkling of wee islands makes Loch Lomond a truly unique and spectacular place.

Inversnaid is a remote hamlet away from the busier western shores and boasts spectacular waterfalls and hidden inlets just waiting to be explored by hikers along the West Highland Way.
