Hi, I’m Veronica and together with my team of Chefs I will teach you the secrets of making home made pasta in my Kitchen Studio, located in one of the Historical Pasta Factories of Rome. I am an Italian Chef, cooking has always been my passion and I am looking forward to sharing it with you. We will use a selection of ingredients from local organic producers as I strongly believe in the importance of quality to make simple dishes with great taste. My professional kitchen, with all its facilities, will contribute to make this experience even more memorable. We will cook and enjoy the pasta we prepared during the family meal included in the cooking class. I have selected a range of natural complimentary wines that will accompany our “creations”. The majority of the classes are hosted by me and sometimes Chef Lorenzo or Chef Fernanda will take my place and host your class. They work with me on a regular basis and have many years of experience in the food industry. The Pasta Factory Class has been one of the first Airbnb experiences in Italy and in 2018 it has been the best experience in Rome. Throughout the years, we have mastered different mosaic techniques, both traditional and modern. That is why you will find the studio full of original tools, sketches by famous Italian artists, and important mosaics masterpieces. The workshop will begin with an introduction to Roman mosaic technique and history. Afterwards, you will practice the principles of texture, composition and marble tile cutting to create your own mosaic to take home. It is fundamental to us to transfer the real techniques of Roman Mosaic craft. Therefore, your mosaic will be correct and based on Ancient mosaic rules. The final result is your own personal mosaic to take home that will be approximately 7” x 5”, weighing 14 oz. A master mosaicist will share important tips, and provide the assistance you need to ensure the best result. This is a full immersion work experience. You are going to work in an authentic mosaic studio and handle specific tools. For safety reasons, we recommend starting this experience from 12 years on.

En el caso de los niños los ejercicios serán más lúdicos, mientras que en el caso de los adultos los ejercicios estarán dirigidos a comprender los movimientos y su control. At the arrival I will offer you cofee break, and I will give you a lab coat for the access to the production area. I’ll bring you along a complete tour to discover all the steps of Parmigiano Reggiano’s production. We’ll see where the animals are bred and where the milk is mould. We’ll go into the cheese factory during milk processing and we'll witness in cooking and making cheese wheels. We’ll see then the process of salting and maturing up to enter the huge “caveau”, where thousands of cheeses wheels are guarded and laid out in long rows in the silent maturation rooms and where the scent of cheese will smell so nice and exciting that we won’t be able to resist till the final tasting of cheese and local typical products. Learn how to easily and successfully make homemade pasta by joining us at our cooking school located in the historic centre of Rome. Our team of professional chefs is pleased to meet you and spend a fun and unique lesson teaching you the secrets of making Ravioli, Fettuccine, Spaghetti, and Tortelli in different shapes. We will provide you with all the necessary tools including a kitchen gown, rolling pin, pasta cutter, eggs, and flour. After the preparation, we will cook the pasta together with the relatives' sauces. Each participant will prepare their pasta, then we will cook it in the same pot to share it with the rest of the group like a true Italian family. This experience will last for about 3 hours and will be an opportunity to socialize with other travellers and your host in an authentic Italian atmosphere. You will taste your own pasta, with two different kind of italian fresh sauce, created and explained by the chef, immersed in a magical atmosphere between past and present. You will make the thin dough sheet with the rolling pin professional technique, safe food cutting procedures, realization of ravioli, agnolotti, tortellini cappelletti and fettuccine. Come along for an after-dark stroll to explore some of these tales of Rome. We begin in one of Rome's liveliest squares, now full of bars and restaurants. However, it was once a place of execution, and reminders of this still stand - hear the tale of Giordano Bruno, one of Italy's greatest minds who got on the wrong side of the Church. Then we stroll through the backstreets, arriving at one of the oldest bridges, which is haunted by one of Rome's most infamous characters. Strolling down a medieval street, we come to a unique church, home to a mysterious order of monks with a rather macabre task. From here, we reach the site of one of the world's most notorious historical prisons, then pass the tomb of the notorious Borgia Pope, before arriving at the home of an infamous poisoner. Soon, we reach Castel Sant'Angelo, where we talk about one of Rome's most famous executions, which the city's people didn't want - the Cenci family. Altogether, it's a fascinating alternative look at Roman history. Other things to note: It's an easy walk, lasting about 2 hours. We end close to some nice bars and restaurants. Please arrive 10 minutes early as we cannot guarantee waiting for late arrivals.
