Be aware that some tours, such as the saloon tours, are not suitable for people under a certain age. Some tours also cover more ground than others, make sure you are physically up to the tour that you would like to take.
Hiking (Late Spring, Summer, early Fall)
Some of the best hikes around Breck!
*Easy Hike* The trail meanders through meadows, by streams and ponds, and through forest offering a range of wildflower habitats. There is little elevation gain over 2.9 miles making it an excellent beginner hike or first day at elevation hike. You are also likely to see moose and other wildlife along the way.
Get there: Take bus route to Breck Station (last stop @ Gondola). Ride the free Gondola to the 2nd station (Crystal Peak Lodge). Walk on backside of buildings where the Independence SuperChair is located. Follow the hill up shortly next to Grand Lodge on Peak 7 & catch trail (Peaks Connect) on the right through skinny trees which leads back down to Ski Hill Road. There is an information board & some parking along road. Cross over road to the east, and pick up ‘Morning Glory’. Trail leads through the nature preserve & back under the gondola to the south side of preserve. Follow trail 2 miles until you reach ‘Josie’s Cabin’ under the gondola at the 1st station. 2 choices: Climb up & ride the gondola either back up or back down. OR pick up the lower ‘Pence Miller’ trail (2 miles) from ‘Josie’s Cabin’ which will take you to the Town Overlook & eventually all the way down to the ’Gondola Ski Back-Parking Lot Access’. There are some stairs & a tunnel that leads under N. Park Ave and back to the Breck Station).
The Gondola opens @ 9am during the summer & is free to ride.

Cucumber Gulch Wildlife Preserve
1599 County Rd 3*Easy Hike* The trail meanders through meadows, by streams and ponds, and through forest offering a range of wildflower habitats. There is little elevation gain over 2.9 miles making it an excellent beginner hike or first day at elevation hike. You are also likely to see moose and other wildlife along the way.
Get there: Take bus route to Breck Station (last stop @ Gondola). Ride the free Gondola to the 2nd station (Crystal Peak Lodge). Walk on backside of buildings where the Independence SuperChair is located. Follow the hill up shortly next to Grand Lodge on Peak 7 & catch trail (Peaks Connect) on the right through skinny trees which leads back down to Ski Hill Road. There is an information board & some parking along road. Cross over road to the east, and pick up ‘Morning Glory’. Trail leads through the nature preserve & back under the gondola to the south side of preserve. Follow trail 2 miles until you reach ‘Josie’s Cabin’ under the gondola at the 1st station. 2 choices: Climb up & ride the gondola either back up or back down. OR pick up the lower ‘Pence Miller’ trail (2 miles) from ‘Josie’s Cabin’ which will take you to the Town Overlook & eventually all the way down to the ’Gondola Ski Back-Parking Lot Access’. There are some stairs & a tunnel that leads under N. Park Ave and back to the Breck Station).
The Gondola opens @ 9am during the summer & is free to ride.

Hikers will either need to reserve a parking spot at Quandary Peak trailhead or take the Quandary Peak Shuttle in from Breckenridge to the Quandary Peak lot in order to catch the McCullough Gulch shuttle.

You may not need a car while you’re in Breck. The condo is approximately 1 mi to Main St (20 min walk - take Warriors Mark Trail to Maggie's Pond).
Also, Breckenridge offers a free bus throughout town. Breckenridge Free Ride picks up at each stop every 20 - 60 mins, depending on location. The Now Colorado Stop is literally just outside the condo.
