Wood Islands Provincial Park is a short 10 minute drive from the cabin and offers beautiful views across the Northumberland Strait to Nova Scotia. Climb to the top of the lighthouse, watch the ferry docking, dip your toes in the water, take a stroll down the red sand beach, and enjoy some fish and chips.

This stop is a hidden gem located in Point Prim. Gar Gillis, a retired bus driver, builds all of the glass bottle buildings himself. Admission is by donation (and all donations go to the IWK Children's Hospital in Halifax). A great place to stop for some photos!

A must do for those who love the outdoors. The Gairloch Trails are a 5 minute drive from the cabin, and offer over 6 kms of stunning walking paths that wind through beautiful mixed woods. In the early summer you may even spot the provincial flower, the Lady Slipper.
