A short walk down steep cliffs will bring you to the beach, which is clean, safe and sandy and offers pleasant views of the Isle of Wight.
The sandy beach with shingle is ideal for body boarding and bathing and there is a RNLI Lifeguard service during July and August.
There is a pay and display car park at Highcliffe Cliff Top, where charges apply between April and September. There are also toilet and café facilities on the cliff top. There is no disabled access to the beach due to a series of steep, gravel paths.
The beach is close to Christchurch Coastal Path which runs the full length of the Christchurch coastline from Chewton Bunny to Mudeford Quay.
Directions from the house. You can either drive to the carpark or walk.
Left from the house to Western Avenue to the end.
Right onto Marine Drive West and through the gate into Naish Holiday camp. (check gate closing times)

Hythe to Beaulieu (6 Miles)
This walk follows the path in the opposite direction, from the town of Hythe the path follows the coast on the edge of Southampton Water for a while before heading in-land on a wooded path into the New Forest. The path initially follows the edge of the New Forest then follows along the edge of the road into Beaulieu.

This walk follows the path in the opposite direction, from the town of Hythe the path follows the coast on the edge of Southampton Water for a while before heading in-land on a wooded path into the New Forest. The path initially follows the edge of the New Forest then follows along the edge of the road into Beaulieu.
