TURKU MARKET SQUARE: This is the the centerpoint of Turku, the Market Square .In the summer there's a nice fresh fruits and vegetables market and a nice place for having a coffee. IMPORTANT: Basically all important Turku mass transit bus stops are located around the square, as are numerous city businesses .On one side of the square, you'll see the Hansa shopping center, and exactly opposite it, the venerable Wiklund department store. https://www.visitturku.fi/en/turku-market-square_en EDIT: Currently under renovation! A beautiful little harbour town just a 30min bus drive away! The bus number 6 and 7 from the main market square take you to Naantali every half an hour. This is a wonderful place to visit in the summer. Naantali has a beautiful old wooden town center with plenty of restaurants and cafeterias. There's an historic church which use to be a convent, nice hiking paths, the Moomin World and the president's summer house among other things. This little kiosk bakes the best "munkki" in the city (munkki = a Finnish style sugar coated donut). There are plenty of chairs and sun chairs to sit outside drinking your coffee and eating your munkki with great views to the river. Ps. here you can only pay by cash and if it's really cold and rainy, they won't probably be open.
