We enjoy mountain biking at Honingklip farm, on the way to Bot River via the R43. Afterwards we often have a refreshing craft beer and bite to eat.

Stanford is always a good place to visit - it's a quaint village on the other side of Hermanus. Plenty of eating and wine tasting opportunities but this one of our favourites. Great fun for kids too.

Chaîne des Rôtisseur chef Leo and his wife Marianne host visitors from abroad, the big city and, of course, Fisherhaven, in this unassuming but worth-a-visit venue. Booking essential.

One of our favorite venues - in summer, it's pleasant to sit outside on the vine-covered verandah, and in winter there is a toasty fire warming the interior. Chef Warwick Taylor has developed an offering where locally sourced ingredients are melded into delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Breads are made on site - so always worth finding out if there is a loaf to take home too.
