Gin Gin is a specialty Bar with a great scene and very tasty cocktails. It's a place I definitely enjoy visiting when I need a night-cap.

Karaoke in Mexico is not a joke. This place has a live band that plays your Karaoke selection and there will be backup singers helping you stay on-tune. Worth a visit if you like Karaoke spots!

The only genuine Castle (Emperor Maximilian lived here while Mexico was a French Colony) on this hemisphere. Surrounded by our most iconic park, it is a beautifully decorated and is home to some of the most breathtaking views of the city. On occasions they will host late-night folkloric ballet shows, which I would highly recommend.

Castillo de Chapultepec
The only genuine Castle (Emperor Maximilian lived here while Mexico was a French Colony) on this hemisphere. Surrounded by our most iconic park, it is a beautifully decorated and is home to some of the most breathtaking views of the city. Soumaya is my favorite modern-building in the city. Across the street from a very nice Shopping Mall (Antara Fashion Hall), this museum is an architecture marvel. It regularly hosts some terrific exhibits, and is not too crowded on weekdays. If you aren't much of a Museum goer, I would recommend you just go for a walk near it to get a glimpse at it's beauty.

Across the street from a very nice Shopping Mall (Antara Fashion Hall), this museum is an architecture marvel. It regularly hosts some terrific exhibits, and is not too crowded on weekdays. If you aren't much of a Museum goer, I would recommend you just go for a walk near it to get a glimpse at it's beauty.
A stunning building that is the home to Mexico's Palace of Fine arts. It's nearby the historic center of the city, and can make a great starting point to a day of sightseeing. I would recommend the neighborhood for daytime sightseeing only.

Has a little bit of everything, all comes together in a gorgeously designed and beautifully landscaped mall. Has brands such as Zara, Burberry, and American Eagle - Also has some very good restaurants and a movie theatre.

This is a 24 hour grocery store that is in a nice mall that also includes a few other stores and a movie theatre. A great place for purchasing food and essentials for long-term stays. The store also has a pharmacy.

Parks & Nature
A few blocks from my place, Parque Lincoln is a terrific walking area. Whether it's breakfast-finding walk, or you'd like to get up and get a bit of exercise, it's a small area with comfortable sounds and views. It's known for it's two reflective pools, which on the weekends will be surrounded by small children sailing small electric boats in them. The Park is quiet on weekday mornings, but a definite place to be during weeknights. It is surrounded by nice restaurants and some niche shopping. The restaurants tend to have outdoor seating and you'll often see musicians playing for the local patrons.

Much of downtown Mexico City used to be a lake and native tribes of Mexicas and Aztecs used to travel around similarly. This is mostly a tourist attraction now, but if you make the day-trip with a group it will be a blast! Make sure you pay the listed price from the entrance, and you can always rent music boomboxes. You should also take your own alcohol and drinks (it's permitted) as buying there will be significantly more expensive.

Very high-end movie theatre. Drinks and food are brought to your very own Lazy-Boy style seat that reclines fully. Highly recommended if you are in town for a while and want to catch a movie.
