The Lonsdale Quay/Shipyard District represents North Vancouver's beauty... views of mountains, water and fabulous downtown Vancouver skyline. There's a scenic peaceful walking trail along the water edge from our apartment (1 mile/1.6 km, 20 min). Restaurants, beer breweries, shops and coffee bars are well represented. We cannot get enough of summer's Friday Nite Market (bands, beer garden and food trucks). Tap & Barrel offers a HUGE patio seating and offers decent food.
"Off the beaten path", casual & very popular with locals, Beere is a great small place to enjoy craft beers. Two River Meats is a must for quality & non-antibiotic lunch/dinner dishes. Enjoy!!!

Essentials
When you are in need to stock up on groceries or day-to-day essentials, the Capilano Mall area is a 5 min stroll from our apartment/flat. There's a peaceful walking trail along the a creek to entertain you. Three grocery stores are next to each other to provide you shopping varieties. We love "Choices" for their natural/organic selection and "Save-On" is more main stream with regular products at more reasonable prices. Walmart is a huge department store (at Capilano Mall) and it is our "go to" store for all our household needs.

Sightseeing
9 out of 10 guests that visit us wants to see the suspension bridge. I have to say it's quite a stunning site and quite renowned. Mid mornings are the busiest time. During the summer months, 30% savings are provided late afternoons to spread the crowd. During the Holiday Seasons, festive colorful lights are impressive to see (make sure you still it during the day). The forest canopies can also shelter you from mild rain. Grouse Mountain is only a few minutes north of the bridge... may as well check it out. Cheers.
