Go off to explore the lovely medieval village of Saint-Emilion, listed as World Heritage Site by Unesco, and visit two wineries (a top winery classified Grand Cru Classé and a family-run estate Grand Cru) during a 5 hours guided tour with me, a fun & knowledgeable local guide speaking English. Your tour includes 2 wineries visit (introduction about the history of the estate and technical informations about how to make the wine), 5 wines tasting minimum in total and a French aperitif (cheese, cured meat & bread at the 1° or 2nd winery) OR sweet specialities from Bordeaux macaroons from Saint-Emilion & cannelés depending on the day of the visit. I will drive through the vineyard of Saint-Emilion in my van and we will visit together the famous medieval village dating from the Middle Age. The wine tours are in English & French. I offer 2 wines tours : morning (8.30am-1.15pm) & afternoon (1.30pm-6.30pm) The meeting point is in Bordeaux at : 1 place de stalingrad, in front of LCL Bank (with a beautiful view of the bridge :)) Make sure to have breakfast or lunch before ! A wander in town while enjoying stopping in 4 incredible places to enjoy tasting some very local and special food and drinks. As we go along town, we will have our first stop in the most incredible place in Antibes for the "aperitif" : the absinthe bar. This bar is generally closed during the day but we have special access for an interesting and exclusive tasting there! Then we move to a place dedicated to a very special dish in the area. Followed by a stop in a wine bar where we will make sure that you enjoy some local wines! Last stop will be in a typical restaurant (who's producing his own veggies) for a tasting of local delicacies as well as a local drink. This is the ultimate experience to enjoy and have access to the best places in town for local dishes... In between the stops, I'll show you some good parts of Antibes and give you some landmarks and recommend some good places so as you can feel like a local. This tour is based on a friendly experience meeting new people and having fun while discovering Antibes and its stories and fun facts. Want to see it all in one day? This tour is for you! Together we will visit three wineries from 3 different appelations, sampling some of the best wines of the region. From the famous Margaux to Saint-Emilion! We will stop for a typical picnic style lunch by the vines at one of the estates. You will also get the chance to discover the marvellous UNESCO classified village of Saint-Emilion (approximately one hour guided tour). We are going to: 1. Walk around a beautiful vineyard. The vineyard is located on the slopes of the last Alps foothills with an altitude of 200-300 meters. There is a magnificent view of the Alps, the Mediterranean Sea and the Var Valley. 2. Learn how wine is made. I will tell you how grapes are grown and what you need to know about vineyards. We will visit a wine cellar, where I will explain in detail each stage of wine production. I will show where fermentation begins, how the grapes are pressed, and where the wine is aged. After all the detailed explanations, it will be easier for you to understand what you are drinking and why you feel these flavours. 3. Taste great wine. We will taste magnificent wines from one of the most exceptional and smallest appellations in France. Small vineyard, organic wine production, indigenous grape varieties, elegant wines of all colours: white, rose and red.
