If you're interested in tracing family history from the area, this is the place to go. Clients are welcome without appointment, and research can be undertaken for a small fee. Located in Nenagh Heritage Centre in what was the North Tipperary County Gaol (jail) - a building dating from mid 19th century. It has a model of the gaol, a recreated 1913 Irish schoolroom and a dairy showing the stages of butter-making. It also houses rotating displays of local art, crafts, photographs etc. 20 mins drive from Bluebell Cottage.
