Just a few minutes' drive away from the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, lies Anaga Country Park, which has been declared a Biosphere Reserve and has succeeded in preserving its natural assets quite exceptionally. You would not be the first person to be besotted by its beautiful precipitous mountain chain full of sharp peaks. The deep valleys and ravines that cut across it eventually reach the sea, forming a series of beaches where you can take a refreshing dip. The area is also home to a wealth of fauna and flora with plenty of native species.

The Anaga Rural Park occupies a large part of the mountain massif located in the northeast corner of the Island of Tenerife. With an extension close to 14,500 hectares, it covers an important part of the island of Tenerife and extends through the municipalities of La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Tegueste.

Un lugar lleno de senderos preciosos, recomiendo que miren en Internet ya que hay muchísimos. Para llegar es mejor coger el autobús desde La Laguna y después volver con otro autobús a La Laguna ya que los senderos no son circulares. A place full of beautiful trails, I recommend you to look it up on Internet as there are many. I recommend to take the bus from La Laguna and then return with another bus to La Laguna as the trails are not circular.

The Anaga Park is one of the most beautiful places in the island. Named in 2015 as a Biosphere Reserve, Anaga counts with numerous cliffs covered by a green mantle of Laurisilva trees. Perfect for the hiking and nature lovers, Anaga also has a variety of natural beaches.
