Tropiquaria is a great family friendly attraction which has an array of tropical creatures and animals. Great particularly for families.

Watchet’s very own zoo! Don’t be put off by its fading elegance and the slightly shabby facade. A very unusual spot. Tropiquaria Zoo is one of the most unique zoos or wildlife parks in the country. The former "Art Deco" BBC radio transmitter station originally built in 1933, now houses the Tropical Hall, Nocturnal House and Aquarium. Outside there’s 4 acres of animal enclosures, along with two life sized pirate ships, and an adventure castle. A great place to take the kids on a wet or sunny day. We hear tell the animals come first and are very well cared for. A unique place, great fun and deserves support.

Loved by children of all ages - you can hold a snake or a spider see the animals and play pirates on the giant wooden Play Ships outside.
