The Izaak Walton Inn is a historic train depo. It is a fun place to visit. The Inn has a full bar in the basement with a pool table, shuffle board, foosball and back hangout to play board games. They have a restaurant upstairs that also has outdoor seating. My favorite part is in the back of the inn they have a bridge that goes over the railroad tracks so when you stand on top of the tracks you can watch the train go by under your feet. Oh it also has a small playground out front for the kiddos :).

Beautiful historic hotel and restaurant located in Essex MT in the boundary of Glacier National Park.

Cross country ski lighted groomed trails. A great place to snow shoe as well. It is my favorite explore, goof off, have lunch and a beer spot. Also, not to compete with myself, but is is a quiet, romantic, sweet community at the hotel. A very special place to me. Summer is a frenzy of wildflowers. Don't miss it.

Old train depot turned Inn. We love it here, especially in the winter, when we rent a caboose to stay the night. It is fun in summer to go and check our the history and there is a fun game room in the basement. Lots of fun hiking trails just out the door. Food is boring and not well done, but dining room is fun to sit in.

Beautiful area across from Glacier park but outside the park. In the winter the trails are cross country ski trails and in the summer they are hiking trails! No cell service.
