Lovely property, we had the best time staying here. Had no issues as check in and the stay was very simple so had no need to contact the host. 6 of us stayed for a girls weekend and had plenty of space. Would definitely recommend!

Great mid week break away, lots to do with short drive in car or beautiful local walks. Pod well equipped and clean, would visit again.

Julie and Graham were fantastic hosts. They talked to us about surrounding restaurants/ shops to visit of need be. The steading was very clean and private with absolutely stunning surroundings. I 100% recommend Julie as a host and hope to be back soon.

We had a lovely stay and couldn’t fault the cabin! It was easy to check in and find the cabin. The cabin was clean and really appreciated the local recommendations for things to do and place to eat! it was quiet and felt private even though it looked to be a busy caravan park! Would highly recommend this to others and stay again in the future

Absolutely fantastic stay at Mither Tap. Super easy check in - Graham sent an email as soon as I booked with the self check in information - and the place was exactly as described. Hot tub was easy to work (which isn't always the case!) and everything was as described. The only thing I'd add is an ice cube tray, so we could have had chilled drinks in the hot tub, but that's the extent of what I would change! Thanks, Graham. Hope to be back :)

The house was perfect for the 8 of us! Really cosy and in the middle of a really beautiful scenery. I would recommend going 100% if you are looking for a chill time with family and friends or even going for some hikes. The hot tub and the outside bit was amazing.

Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting. Very peaceful location. Lodge is spacious and very well equipped. Stephen was extremely helpful and flexible with our check in/out. He responded immediately and quickly sorted out a fault in the en-suite shower room. Highly recommend this lodge

Excellent accommodation that was spacious and clean. Check in and out was very flexible and easy to find. We received an email of when the accommodation was available, we didn't arrive until tea time and the use of the lock box and code was super easy. Caravan was excellent and everything looked brand new and in excellent condition. Shower was great, bed was comfy and location was fab- just a short drive to beach but could have been walkable I'm sure. Also just a short drive to Charleton farm for yummy breakfast and pit stop for hot drinks and cakes. Also a short drive to Johnshaven, montrose and many other places of interest. Thanks Stewart, we would definitely return!

If you're looking for a remote, quiet and secluded place to stay, Larch Lodge is an excellent choice. Our group of 3 and a furry companion found the Lodge compact yet comfortable and meeting our needs. We found it spotless, well equipped, very warm, with a private parking space and with a great views from the kitchen. The Lodge is fully licensed, and adheres to required safety standards. Situated within a private forest, the Lodge is home to many birds, including a bird of prey we observed on several occasions. Many of the most beautiful Scottish beaches, towns, castles, and other attractions are within a 15-25 minute drive. There is also a nearby Tesco supermarket, which is notably better stocked than those in Edinburgh and includes a petrol station. Finally, thank you Vanessa for being such a great host and for a bottle of Champaign to help us celebrate birthday of one of us. We cannot forget to say that our furry companion has enjoyed outside space and his beach walks.

Sehr schöne Hütte. Highlight ist das Panoramafenster mit dem Holzofen daneben. Sehr gemütlich und ausreichend Platz für zwei Personen. Großes Bett im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Tiny Houses. Modern eingerichtet und private Lage. Großer Stellplatz für das Auto. Lediglich das Trocken-WC hat uns nicht gefallen, da es mit der Zeit einen unangenehmen Geruch entwickelt.

has a fantastic visit at Ann's bothy. very easy to find with Ann's clear instructions and was in an excellent location to visit surrounding areas such as Stonehaven, Montrose, Arbroath, St Cyrus, Aberdeen etc. Situated on a lovely farm, it was very peaceful and in a beautiful rural setting. Private, enclosed garden was great to allow our dog to run off lead. Bothy had every amenity we could have needed including full kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine and full fridge/freezer. kids had a brilliant time feeding Nicol, and the other horses. would not hesitate to recommend and would love to visit in future...my only concern is that once I give this place the glowing review it deserves, it may make it harder for me to get the dates I'm looking for in future! 😂

Very comfortable, private and peaceful, with amazing outdoor space for our dog to enjoy running around. Spotlessly clean.

We had a great stay, we loved the location as it was accessible to local interests. Our party was mixed age group from 3 to 92 and we found the accommodation perfect, clean and well equipped. I would definitely book again, in fact Anna, my daughter may be in touch. Grandchildren were sad to leave. I asked them what was the best part of the holiday and they all said the trampoline 😍 Hope you enjoyed having us too? Phillipa x

Lovely accommodation, suitable for weekend or longer stays. The kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need if you are fully self-catering. Very quiet situation with lovely walks nearby. We have already rebooked! Highly recommended.

Alison's cabin was ideal for our stay. It had plenty of space for us and good facilities for self catering. The cabin is in the grounds of her large B&B house and Alison was on hand to welcome us and if we had any queries. There's a good bedroom and a comfortable sofa bed. It's very walkable to the pubs, restaurants, cafes etc in Ballater and Alison provided lots of tips and recommendations for eating out. Parking on site. Good communication with Alison. Would stay again.
