Barbara’s cabin was truly a hidden gem in the outskirts of Smithville. I have tons of family who have lived in Smithville since the 50’s if not earlier so I’ve grown up in Smithville and to have a place like this cabin to stay at when visiting family is amazing! The photos truly don’t do it justice. The property is very well maintained and it was freshly mowed. It’s on a few acres and has plenty of space outside to roam and enjoy the view of the river. It ac works very well, I ended up sleeping on the futon which was comfortable enough to me and everything is very clean and well-kept. My only complaint would be the lock on the gate was fairly hard to work (push back together and get it to stick, even after changing all the numbers on the pad).

This is a great place to stay. It has everything you need, is nice and cool, and private enough to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea outside. I had a very peaceful stay. Great location to get to work, has several great restaurants just around the corner (both sit down and fast food). I did not want for anything, and Lisa is responsive and attentive.

I didn't want to leave... miss it already. So glad and grateful to have experienced this place. Lord knows I needed it!!!!

Our stay at here was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the serene countryside and the thoughtfully designed tiny home. It strikes the perfect balance between cozy comfort and rustic charm. The setting is ideal - quiet, natural, and filled with the simple beauty of rural life. Birdsongs greeted us each morning, and the nights offered a stunning display of stars. I enjoyed sipping coffee outside with a rooster in a chair by me and was joined on a trail walk by a friendly dog who showed me around The property has plenty to explore, scenic trails dotted with blooming wildflowers and some mushrooms peeking through the undergrowth. Catch and release Fishing at the small, peaceful pond was enjoyable The tiny home itself is beautifully done - clean, welcoming, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Every detail, from the layout to the finish touches, showed care and love. An amazing place to recharge. AC was wonderful as was the host

My new husband and I chose this place for our honeymoon and it was absolutely beautiful! Very private and quiet for couples! We took our time to walk around the property and got some cute photos. Cute squirrels, birds, and deer everywhere. You could see the fish jumping and was for sure a sight to see! We didn't get to go swimming thinking the water was just a little bit too chilly for us to get in but they had a relaxing hot tub spa and definitely will the next time we take a vacation and it'll be in the summer! Bridget is an absolutely wonderful host! Very communicative and just the sweetest person ever! The real MVP! ❤️

Beautiful Airbnb! It’s the perfect getaway from the city, surrounded by stunning pine trees and peaceful nature. The cottage was cozy, clean, and fully equipped, and the hosts were very welcoming. The farm chickens and birds added a fun, charming touch. Highly recommend!

We had a great visit. The house was central to areas we were visiting. The whole house was spotless and comfortable. David responded quickly to any questions we had. We’ll definitely stay here again!
