Mount Farm Guest Suites - The Cow Shed, nr M6 J44

We welcome you to stay in our new self contained suites and hope you will find the accommodation comfortable and to a high standard. We are also dog friendly, if you want to bring your dog please let us know. There’s a small charge of £10 per dog, payable on arrival. We are near to the English/Scottish Border, Lake District and only 10 minutes from the Hadrian's Wall path, making us a prefect base for a get away or stop off. Also we are only 5 mins from the M6 from Junction 44.

Gable Cottage is a recently renovated 2 Bedroom property in the village of Rockcliffe, 5 miles north of Carlisle, and 6 miles South of Gretna Green. The cottage enjoys views over the River Eden and the Solway Firth, providing easy access to the Cumbrian Countryside, historic Carlisle, Hadrian's wall, and the Northern Lakes. Rockcliffe's village pub, the Crown & Thistle offers a traditional Cumbrian welcome with excellent local food. The village is on the Reivers cycle route

Homely and peaceful 17th century cottage in the heart of Burgh-by-Sands, on Hadrian's Wall Path. Carlisle - 5 miles. Comfortably sleeping four (plus infant), in two double bedrooms, one with ensuite cloakroom, the house has a kitchen/dining/living space, cosy living room and spacious garden, with very little light pollution, ideal for star gazing. Ample parking Perfect for exploring the wildlife of the Solway Coast, the City of Carlisle, Gretna and the Lake District.

Delightful off grid shepherds hut

Built from scratch by none other than the owners themselves, the dog-friendly Tweedenburn Shepherd's Hut is more than just a labour of love; it’s also a completely off-grid hut powered by solar panels and in an excellent spot for exploring the Scottish Borders. When you’re ready for a kip, there’s a comfortable double bed for two inside the hut. Complete with a woodburning stove. Firepit/ barbecue and gas hob provided in the outdoor kitchen. All utensils provided.

Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

Situated on Castletown Estate you can walk out of the garden gate and straight onto the river side with access to walks not publicly available.

The Silo is a completely unique holiday stay, based in the beautiful countryside in North Cumbria. This is a dog friendly accommodation however any other pet ie cat/donkey/giant python I'm afraid has to be left at home.
