Can't say enough praise about this place. I was on the fence when booking this because it was 4 to 5 hour drive from Toronto and we only had 3 day weekend to spare. When we arrived at the place we were astonished by the beauty of it. The place sits on the waterfall between 2 lakes. We were using a canoe and kayaks to explore both lakes. We hiked 2 trails. The nights there are amazing and you can see all the stars. We were offered some fresh harvest from the vegetable garden. We used sauna at night and briefly jumped in to the hot tub. Having neighbors cabins close to ours we were not bothered by any of this, despite some reviews saying that it was noisy. We were absolutely happy in our say. 10/10 would book again if I'm on the east coast of Canada and have a weekend to spare. I wish we could stay there more. Patrick and Amy were friendly and helpful, we had great chats and saw each other on the trails.

Host made sure we had everything we needed. Lots of games and activities for the kids, all our questions were answered ahead of time. Very positive experience, will recommend to friends!

Everything was perfect. We had a really wonderful time. You can find whatever you need inside. It’s clean and cozy and we really enjoyed.

We absolutely loved our vacation cabin getaway at Bob and Darlene’s. We had KC to welcome us upon arrival 🐾 Bob and Darlene prepared delicious meals and made sure we were comfortable throughout the duration of our stay. The cabins are warm and cozy. We can’t wait to visit again soon.

Heather went above and beyond to make our stay feel special with personalized touches. She even surprised us with a birthday cake to celebrate! She communicated effectively and responded quickly to our messages. The A itself is absolutely beautiful, cozy and very relaxing! The views of the lake are spectacular as well. We will definitely be returning!

Great location on the island. Very clean and comfortable trailer with great outdoor space and lovely views. Was the perfect size for our family of four and large dog. Nice little swim spot on the property with kayak and paddle board rentals. Bedding and towels included as well as consumables (soap, paper towel etc.). Easy to communicate with the host. We would recommend to others!

Our stay was lovely. So private and so beautiful. It was a grounding experience to be so close to nature. Decks with seating surround the entire cabin giving a tremendous opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

We just got home from a wonderful week stay at Courtney’s place on MacGregor Bay. We can’t say enough great things about this place. Having a whole island to ourselves with a trail to hike, paddle boards to use, and all the amenities of home was exactly what we needed! The off grid living with a warm outdoor shower was a highlight…and the constant breeze off the bay will be missed! Our family of four all slept very comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we were pleasantly surprised to find a blender and a salad spinner! 😉 We feel very lucky to have found this gem and hope to return again soon. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

This was our fourth stay at Caribou Run. Our family really likes Harris Lake and Caribou Run can accommodate our growing 3 generations of family. Bev and Gary are always easy to communicate with and are very accommodating. Location is perfect for fishing, swimming and water activities. There is room to dock our fishing boat, sea doo and paddle boards. Life is never dull at “the cottage”. We were able to experience the meteor shower while sitting on the dock, with all eyes looking up. Amazing night! We recommend this cottage for any larger families or families that vacation together. Thank you again for helping us create more family memories 😊.

Very peaceful and secluded. Just what I was looking for. Great & reasonably priced especially if you’re looking for a nice little “local” honeymoon spot. Next time I think I would rent a kayak to better access the water, but my dog sure had fun playing in it and a nice little trail that leads down.

Ali’s place was a perfect spot for a winter weekend getaway. Beautiful cabin in a great location, close to ski trails and ice fishing. The place is well stocked and Ali was very helpful with communication. Would absolutely stay here again.

My friends and I all try to meet up once a year for an outdoors getaway now that we are spread across Ontario. This was a central location, so we picked it based on the advertised features and photos. What we arrived to was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. A beautiful and secluded getaway on a forested slice of the French River, with plenty of space to house all 5 of us, cook excellent meals indoors in the kitchen and out on the grill, spend all day either hiking, canoeing/kayaking, or swimming in the river. The hosts were excellent, and helped us haul in (and out) some of our heavier gear. We were even able to hike some instruments in and put on a 5-man band performance, all to ourselves (and whatever woodland creatures ended up hearing us!). The hike in and river-pastimes were a perfect match for our fit and active group, but a quieter experience would have certainly been possible had that been what we were after! All in all, would we come back? YES!

Had a great time was away for work brought boat and fished in the evening’s beautiful spot amazing waterfront explore with boat for days. Will be going back !!!
