The house was ideal for a private and tranquil getaway. The views were spectacular and loved watching the sky change with varying weather. Couldn’t take enough photos! Good base for Dorrigo NP and not too far from Ebor Falls and Cathedral Rocks. Spent the days doing breathtaking hikes and evenings recovering in peaceful surroundings. Would love to stay again.

What a beautiful country escape! Andrew was great at corresponding and helpful all throughout our stay. The house is beautiful and the tranquility of where it sits in the valley is truly stunning. Would highly recommend!

Brown Dog Barn is a heavenly place to escape to. Will definitely try and stay here again.

My partner and I absolutely adored this place. We’d move in permanently if we could! Tim provided us with all the info we needed prior to our arrival so check-in was a breeze and we were well prepared for our off-grid holiday. Highly recommend to anyone keen to spend some time in nature.

An absolute pleasure, from the warm welcome to the delightful interior and generous breakfast provisions. We loved the setting in the trees and being joined by the Rainbow Lorikeets for breakfast. Highly recommended for a quiet stay and a base to explore the Bellingen region.

We had a lovely few days at Matilda’s Hut. The hut is so peaceful set in amongst the trees. It was a great place to relax with a soak in the outdoor bath, drinks around the fire pit and a very comfortable king size bed to sleep in. The inside fireplace was lovely on the rainy night. The walks on the property were great, with the creek pumping after the rain. We had a beautiful stay.

Great place, well appointed with everything you need, kitchen etc… really beautiful place, comfy beds lounges, amazing bath outside ❤️Just make sure you double check the booking app how many people or wether or not you need two rooms regardless of how many people… not assume couples only need one bed. Glitch on app not host. Ring or message host to confirm requirements. Really lovely stay.

This is a lovely cottage with stunning rainforest views, tree ferns and mature trees, as well as an incredible creek and waterfall right on the property! Truly special. The fenced back yard and pet door made it so easy with dogs and we enjoyed the fire and bath. The bed deserves a mention as we both need a good quality mattress - not too hard as we both have shoulder issues. We really slept well. There were quite a few leeches so it’s good to check feet/shoes and puppies when entering the house. Dale and Glenn were kind and accommodating. Highly recommend this property.
