The Lost Coast Cottage is a beautifully remodeled home nestled in the Mattole Valley at the northern end of the Lost Coast. The house is just minutes from beaches and the Mattole River. It has natural wood throughout, with three bedrooms, two baths, a fully stocked kitchen and pantry, decks, new beds and linens, a propane grill and backyard. We want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our exceptional cleanliness, amenities, location, and hospitality are why guests make repeat visits.

This large 14X20 room plus bathroom is for non-smoking guests. Windows with wooded views and a private entrance. Also a queen size Tempur-pedic mattress, WiFi, microwave oven (behind a cabinet door), electric tea kettle, toaster oven, Keurig, refrigerator, hot plate, bar sink, large TV (with over 250 channels), DVD player, and off street parking. Nothing high-end here (except the mattress) but very comfy, clean, and private. Also the bathroom has it's own on-demand water heater (not shared).

Tent, q-sized inflated bed, showers, ocean 1 mile

This tent is permanently darkened on the exterior by mold. We cannot clean it without destroying the waterproofing. It is ugly, but otherwise in very good shape; interior is NOT moldy. Tent is roomy, w/queen-sized inflated bed, firepit/free wood, picnic table, & propane heat if needed ($8 ). Bring your own bedding: pillows, towels, sleeping bags, etc. We can provide bedding if necessary, but have to charge a $20 flat fee for laundering (PG&E costs are ridiculous), for which we are sorry.

After walking down several stone steps, nestled among trees and flowers, you will find a cozy guesthouse filled with a comfortable lounging area, and a quaint bedroom. Then exit to the back deck and spend time sitting by the fish ponds, you can venture onward to explore the Secret Garden where you may spot different butterflies, birds, and even friendly bees. Enjoy the early morning (and sometimes all day) sounds of ducks, geese, turkeys and cattle . Surrounded by acres of Redwood trees, no street lights, and lots of wildlife. Enjoy the stars from the patio in redwood rocking chairs. The cottage has Roku Smart TV, NETFLIX, WIFI & all basic bath & kitchen essentials.

Red Barn Cottage, Cozy and Charming

The Red Barn Cottage is located within walking distance of the Victorian village of Ferndale. The Cottage is a charming, separate studio with a private entrance, gated patio, full kitchen and bathroom. We provide wonderful amenities including coffee, teas, continental breakfast items and snacks for our guests. A small to medium size dog is allowed but with our approval and an additional nonrefundable pet fee.
