Oystercatcher

Located on the idyllic Solway estuary, metres from the water's edge, surrounded by the renowned RSPB Campfield Marsh. By a unique wetland of raised peat bogs, marshes and ponds, A haven for a huge variety of bird life, shoreline waders to geese to owls and woodpeckers. Located amid Low Abbey's woodland, rich with narcissi and bluebells in the spring, adjacent to the old damson orchard, at the end of Hadrian's Wall. A truly luxurious shepherd's hut with all amenities for a great stay.

Pet-friendly and cosy converted byre for two

A converted former farmstead byre, Randel features high beamed ceilings open to the eaves, with plenty of natural light from two gable windows, a roof Velux and window out on to the wooded garden. Entrance is directly into the studio accommodation, consisting of a well fitted kitchen, dining facilities for two, and a comfortable compact sitting/sleeping area. Armchairs give way across the room to a wrought iron double-bed. There is a separate shower room with WC and washbasin.

The perfect romantic retreat, Swallows Rest, is a converted 18th century hay barn. Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. The ground floor contains an open plan living room, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There is a utility room accessed via a low stone doorframe. Upstairs is a mezzanine floor with king size bed, balcony and luxurious shower room

Cedar wood lodge with stunning rural views.

Our cedarwood lodge has been designed and built for our family and friends to use when they visit. It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

Switch off in quiet Bassenthwaite village in peaceful valley between lake & mighty Skiddaw mountain, 15 mins from popular market town Keswick - enjoy an open fire, Sun Inn pub 2 mins away (booking recommended), walks for all abilities (many from the door) & our runner ducks and chickens - if you want quieter lakes, villages & towns or the most popular locations, all accessible. 12 noon checkout on Sundays after 2 night weekends.

Orchard Cottage was originally an 18th century 'Solway Plain clay dabbin' farmer's cottage (named after the fruit trees that are still in the garden), now fully restored with many of its original features. It is a perfect cosy getaway for those wanting to explore the Lakes, Hadrian's Wall and other highlights of this beautiful county. It is a great base to sample the many delights Cumbria has to offer.

Wardhall cottage has been lovingly renovated to a high standard to ensure guests have a home from home stay. Situated within an idyllic countryside between the villages of Arkelby and Gilcrux; with great views over the Solway Firth and all within easy access to the Lake District. Wardhall cottage is located within a small village that has private hire swimming facilitates within walking distance.

Rosehill Cottage

NEW LISTING JANUARY 2018 Charming barn converted cottage dating from 1700. It is based near the quiet part of West Cumbria's Lake District. A great place for couples and we always welcome your pet. The cottage also has two step down access to a pretty patio garden with pond. The garden is shared and is quite large.

Camping pod in western lakes

Our couples pod is a perfect base to explore and recharge. This camping pod sleeps 2 people comfortably and is pet friendly. Based on our working farm with panoramic views of local fells and Skiddaw from its own private decking. Free parking is right next to the pod.
