Very spacious and comfortable place. The house has everything one needs. Check-in at the gate might be a bit complicated (we entered and exited quite often, so we needed new codes a couple of times), but other than that all was perfect. Would come again.

Our stay was bliss,this place is awesome..one day was abit cold and we were still entertained with the indoor braai and the next day we were blessed with some sun and we enjoyed the greenery outside, highly recommend this place

We had a wonderful Christmas stay at Eden. A warm welcome from the host Camilla. The accommodation was terrific, and the beautiful garden with a large pond truely made it Eden. Riebeek Kasteel is an amzing town, especially for food and wine. We'll be back!!

Ein wunderschönes Haus, auf einer Working Farm gelegen. Es ist von den anderen Cottages ein ganzes Stück entfernt, rundrum nur Wein und die Pferdekoppel. Alle Angaben entsprachen den Tatsachen, die Fotos zeigen wie es dort wirklich aussieht, es ist nichts übertrieben. Der Pool war leider eiskalt, was wohl einerseits den niedrigen Nachttemperaturen der letzten Nächte geschuldet war und der Tiefe des Pools. Mit einer Abdeckung könnte man da etwas entgegen wirken. Auf der überdachten Terrasse, die an drei Seiten des Hauses entlang läuft, stehen sehr bequeme Liegen. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man vielleicht brauchen könnte. Vollausgestattete Küche inklusive Mikrowelle, Backofen, Kühl-Gefrierkombi. Fernseher, ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppel- und Einzelbett und angrenzendem Bad mit WC, Dusche, Badewanne im Erdgeschoss. Im Obergeschoss ein offenes Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten und einem kleineren Badezimmer mit WC und Dusche. Das Cottage hat täglichen Service. Nach Franschhoek in die Innenstadt sind es etwa 5 Minuten Fahrzeit. Wir hatten einen herrlichen Aufenthalt. Joan ist eine unaufdringliche Gastgeberin, wie man es sich wünscht.

WE ENJOYED OUR STAY A LOT. ESPECIALLY THE WINE TASTING, THE CHATS WITH MELT AND HIS SON AND THE FIREPLACE WE HAD RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR COTTAGE. THE SUNDOWNER BESIDE THE LITTLE LAKE AND THE VISITS OF THE DOGS WERE ALSO VERY NICE. UNFORTUNATELY WE HAD NOT ENOUGH TIME TO HAVE A WALK THROUGH THE WINEYARDS AND TO EXPERIENCE THE FARM LIFE. WE WOULD DEFENATLY RECCOMEND TO STAY AT CALLAIS DURING THE SUMMER TIME WHEN YOU ARE ABLE TO SPEND YOUR TIME OUTSIDE OF THE COTTAGE. THE THINGS WHICH WERE TO BE IMPROVED, WERE IMPROVED RIGHT AFTER WE MENTIONED IT. THANK YOU FOR THE BEAUTIFUL TIME.

This stay was perfect for our group of 7 - even more space than we needed. The house and property are unbelievably beautiful, and it was so relaxing. It’s a relatively easy uber into town, while having privacy and space for your stay. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, making everything easy. Definitely recommend!

Eine wirklich wunderbare Unterkunft. Herrlich gelegen, top ausgestattet und ganz liebes Personal. Der Blick auf Kapstadt und den Tafelberg ist atemberaubend. Alles tipptopp. Einzig anzumerken ist, dass nur ein Zimmer mit AC ausgestattet ist. Das war aber aufgrund der kühlen Nächte eigentlich kein Problem.

Overall had a great stay for our wedding party. The unit is split into two, with one side being for guests and the caretaker on the other side - but the caretaker was very friendly and accommodating. The quiet hours are strictly 10pm, as the neighbours will complain, but noise can be moved inside with all the doors closed after that, but the hosts try to be as accommodating as possible. Overall, had everything it needed and was clean and accessible.

Had such a great stay! The house was amazing, the views are spectacular and the pool is something special. Clean spacious house. We had a very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend. Thanks to Marinda who was such a welcoming host.

We were a party of 10 of all ages and we were all well catered for. The property was spacious and has plenty of eating places both inside and out. The children loved the pool which is perfectly safe for the young members of our party. Any queries or problems were rapidly dealt with by Laurence or Sheldon. Highly recommended.

Simply put this was sublime. Not only does the property reside in what has to be one of the most beautiful private estates, but the property is stunning and you’d think you were the first guests to stay there. The property has an astonishing view that I don’t think many Airbnbs could compete with. The place is deep cleaned nearly daily and we were made to feel at home and special. Small touches were noticeable such as toiletries and kitchen goods. You are moments from some of the most beautiful wineries in the world and stones through from Stellenbosch itself. The property is in a secure gated estate which gave us a real sense of safety, not that we consider the area worrying at all (as it isn’t) but we brought our infant daughter with us so all worries are heightened. No such worries necessary here. I would love to say horrible things about this place, if only to ensure it would be available next time we come. We even extended our stay as couldn’t bear to leave.

The home is a rare gem giving a glimpse of life of the well to do families in a bygone era. We felt very privileged being able to spend a wonderful weekend with loved ones in such a special home. Thank you!!

Fantastic stay over Easter at this beautiful house with stunning views 😍 Everything exactly as described and easy to check in. The deck and garden seating with beautiful and comfy lovely cushions, made for a great spot to relax outside. Inside the rooms were lovely too, so would recommend this house to others and look forward to returning ourselves one day too.

The Hacienda is the perfect place to unwind, braai and gaze at an incredible views for a few days. We got unlucky with the weather as it rained for half our time there, so if you are visiting in winter definitely take food that doesn’t need to be bbq’d or cooked in an oven and some games - definitely somewhere I would want to come back to in the summer! Of all our stays in The Western Cape, this was in our Top 2 (in over 109 stays). 7 mins to central Stellenbosch , near the beaches and only 25 mins to Cape Town. Right in the heart of the Winelands. The villa was immaculate with very clear and accommodating hosts. For a family of 4, we all had our own bedrooms with en suites and one of the largest pools in a private residence. Washer, dryer (which is rare), air conditioning and lots of open communal space. We loved in so much that we made an offer to the owners to purchase 😎. Do not hesitate to book this gorgeous villa in a secure neighbourhood. We look forward to coming back in the near future.

Ein tolles Haus, in dem wir eine wundervolle Zeit mit Freunden verbracht haben. Schöner Garten mit Pool, alles vorhanden was man braucht und ein toller Ausblick. Perfekt für Grillabende zuhause. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall! :)

This house is just a dream, so much character from the outside hugged by lush greenery and trees. We loved the clean stylish space inside that immediately puts your mind at ease and adored the furnishings/pictures collected on their travels. The garden is big equipped with sunbeds and chairs and the we enjoyed the pool with mountain views. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fire at night. You really can't beat the location! Located behind Le Quartier Francaise, we loved taking a 3 minute walk to the village where there are so many restaurants. We experienced Yama and Eleven for dinner and loved eating at Terbodore everyday for breakfast. For families, we recommend visiting Pigcasso, as you can feed the animals which is fun and it is beautiful. Jo's beautiful house was absolutely perfect for our family of 4.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marlicia’s beautiful property in Franschhoek. It was super clean, very well appointed and a great location to explore this wonderful area. Marlicia was a wonderful host. She gave us lots of great recommendations and provided a few nice surprises when we arrived. She made us feel right at home. Would recommend to anyone to stay here.
