This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

We are a working beef farm and can look after your bikes/motorbikes on site in a safe environment. The Pods have wonderful mountain views and to those who enjoy nature and getting away from the madness for a little while, then this is for you. Each pod is like a little mini apartment. It has a private automatic gate and the property has a slipway to the sea. Beautiful area to go canoeing. Seals can be seen from time to time. You can watch the Castletownbere fishing boat going out to sea.
