Historic Georgian Flat with Community Garden
It's filled with light and spacious for a one bedroom apartment. It's filled with fun things that I have collected over the years, so it comes with bags of my personality! It's quiet - especially the bedroom which is located at the rear. I like cooking, so the kitchen is well-equipped. Bring your tunes - there is a nice Sony bluetooth speaker to connect with! Access all areas - I keep the cellar and a filing cabinet in the bedroom locked for my own bits and pieces though. On arrival, I prefer to meet my guests in person to get you settled and share my local recommendations that fit with your plans and timing. New Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and carefully protected from new development. It supports a lovely mix of residential property and boutique retailing, including tons of coffee shops, private galleries, restaurants, and interior design shops. Bus stop round the corner and tram stop 5 minutes away at St Andrews Square. 10 minutes walk to the main railway station, Edinburgh Castle and the very heart of Edinburgh. Taxi rank 5 minutes walk down Dundas Street and taxis usually available on the street too. Please note my TV works via the internet so you can view BBC iPlayer/Netflix/Amazon content only. The bed is a standard double i.e. 4 feet 6 inches wide and 6 feet 3 inches long (137 x 190 cm). The bed will be made up ready for your arrival including 4 feather pillows, a duvet and a warm throw. An allergy free pillow and a hot water bottle can be found in the chest of drawers. I supply two large towels, a hand towel, a dish towel and a bath mat for each booking.

Wake Up Minutes from the Castle in This Authentic Flat
The apartment is right on the historic Royal Mile with excellent restaurants and shops around you in every direction. It is a 5m walk from the central Edinburgh Waverley train station, where trains, as well as the airport bus stop. You are also a 5m walk from the Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile or the excellent Princes Street and National Galleries. You really couldn't be more central than this! All parts of the apartment are free for you to use. You'll have the whole place to yourself for the duration of the stay! I'm never more than a message or phone call away should you need anything. In the heart of historic Edinburgh, it's walking distance to the city's train and bus stations, most Festival venues, and popular sites like Edinburgh Castle and Arthur's Seat. Restaurants, bars, and all the city has to offer are on the doorstep. You can take the tram or the bus from the airport, both are cheap, and both go into the city centre. The city centre stop is called “Central Edinburgh, Waverley Station” The apartment is a 5min walk from Waverly Station. If you're bringing a car there's on street parking in front of the building, or there's a Travel Lodge about a 10m walk away that has cheaper parking. In front of the building is £4.10/hr or it's £2.00/hr at the Travel Lodge, both have various discounts for longer stays.

The flat is in the centre of Edinburgh with an EH1 postcode, and 5 minutes from John Lewis and the St James Quarter. It’s the perfect location for exploring the city, close to the Playhouse, bus station and train station. Very good tram links to airport from York Place. It’s about 15 minutes to walk to the Old Town, the busier and older side of the city centre.
