Cool off in the dipping pool and relax in the tree shaded pool area or on those wet winter days curl up next to the indoor fireplace. Property is gated, guest have there own access and free to roam the property. We like to give guest there own space, however either myself or a staff member are always available and happy to help. Nestled between towering mountainscapes and enduring vineyards, this property is situated in Franschhoek, a town known for its world-class dining, wine tasting, and natural beauty. Visit the Huguenot Memorial Museum to learn about local history. Uber is recently available in Franschhoek but does have a limited presence (after 11pm/12pm). There is also a tuk tuk taxi available, please view enclosed information for contact. Please note there is a friendly young rescue dog that roams freely on the property. My place is close to the breathtaking De Hoop Nature Reserve's white beaches, travelers hotspot Malagas with the pont, bush pub and boathouse restaurant. It's the perfect location to stay for a week and enjoy everything the area of Swellendam & Bredasdorp has on offer. You’ll love Die Blouhuis because of the uniqueness of staying in a old-styled farm house. It is remote and therefor very peaceful, private and safe - perfect retreat for couples, solo adventurers and families, especially kids.

Unique stand-alone, partially off the grid cottage overlooking working farm (Fynbos/Protea, Vegetables, Sheep, Cattle). Situated at the foot of the mountain next to a dam. Walking distance from Baardskeerdersbos. 18km from Pearly Beach and 22km from Gansbaai coastal area. This cozy cottage has 2 bedrooms, sleeping 4 guests and has a private woodfire hot tub next to the patio. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate any pets. The working farm has sheep roaming around and also 3 big farm dogs.

The small forest forms part of LOKAL, a 1ha property, with an vegetable garden , Orchards of fruit & nuts, some chickens & the Garden Cottage.

You are welcome to explore the farm and even practice your chipping and putting skills on the green.There is an inverter to provide electricity during loadshedding periods.
