New Owners! Expect gorgeous sunsets over tranquil waters from the property. Northern Lights even appear from time to time! In the heart of the UP with adventure for every season! Quaint, cozy lodging spaces. Marquette is a short 40-minute drive east. Houghton is 68 miles north (Gateway to Copper Harbor). Both towns have unique shops, restaurants, and amazing scenery. We are located in Three Lakes, MI, where Lakes Ruth, Beaufort, and George connect. You can kayak and fish these linked waterways!

Grandma's House

This UP diamond in the rough is located in the old mining community of Nort' Lake; once a bustling and rustling proud community (Circa Late 1800's). Now, a quiet neighborhood ideal for bicyclist, hunters, fishing enthusiast and resting after countless adventures here in the beautiful Upper Peninsula. There are so many sites to see within miles of Grandma's House. Though this home was built in the late 1800s, you will immediately feel the warmth and comfort of a modern day living experience.

Outdoor grill and fire pit is available. Linens, dishes, pots and pans, washer, dryer, microwave, coffee maker and crock pot provided. Quiet, small community. Local restaurant and bar within walking distance. Summer Rental: Included in rental are four kayaks with lifejackets, grill, firepit, dock, and beautiful sunsets! Area trails are suitable for hiking, biking, four wheeling. Winter Rental: area trails suitable for snowmobiles, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Plenty of parking!

Experience this charming historical mining home and area. Three bedrooms which have memory matress toppers on all beds for a great night’s sleep. Cozy cabin decor, coffee bar, and laundry. Located near snowmobile , orv trails (no trailering necessary, ride to trails from house), Michigamme River, fishing, hunting, swimming, hiking trails and wildlife preserve. Storage for snowmobile and outdoor gear in the basement with additional entrance to this area. Parking for trailers. Grill/fire pit

Teal Lake is right out the back door offering beautiful sunsets, wildlife and outdoor recreation. Electric motors only allowed, 2 kayaks provided. Quiet, residential neighborhood, conveniently located for day trips in either direction - Picture Rocks in Munising or up to the Copper Country. 12 miles from Marquette, easy walk to supermarket and public sand beach. About a mile to antique shopping, restaurants, bars, Iron Ore Heritage Trail for biking or hiking and mega RAMBA Trails.

Chocolay River Cabin

Small hand hewn log cabin on Chocolay River. Good fishing, approximately 5 miles from snowmobile and ORV trails. Full kitchen. 1 BR (Q), Full sofa sleeper and 1 bath. Outdoor electric sauna. A fire pit. Washer/dryer. Basic amenities. Full kitchen. There is WiFi but cell service can be very sketchy. Texting does seem to work ok. We do have a cell phone booster there but it still isn’t great. If you need to make a call you can drive about 1 mile out to US 41 and service is good.

Yellow Dog Yurt - Peace and Quiet near Marquette

Located 25 minutes north of Marquette, our yurt is simple and rustic without electricity and a woodstove is the only heat source. We provide bedding, water in buckets, a simple kitchen, a battery pack for string lights, and a sauna for warming the bones. We encourage and cater to silent-sport type of guests as we have kind and close neighbors on all sides. No shooting, loud off road vehicles, etc. are permitted. - Wood heat only - Outhouse toilet - Limited parking

The Cedar Cabin at Pinecrest Northwoods

This 100 year old hand hewn log cabin is perched up on a bluff which looks out over Juncob Lake on one side, and The Michigamme River on the other. The top of the bluff offers a nice open area for admiring the lake, hammocking, stargazing, or a lawn game. Out the back entrance of the cabin there is a small system of trails to take you on a short hike along the Michigamme, or, you can stay inside and enjoy a warm beverage cozied up by the wood burning fireplace!

Republic Island- Your Own Private Island Oasis!

Escape the ordinary vacation. Relax or be adventurous. Fish your heart out! This historic (1800's), 3 bedroom, cedar log cabin is nestled within a 2 acre rustic private island on the Michigamme River, just 300 feet from the shoreline. Flexibility is key. You will need to row or take the simple pontoon with a basic electric motor over to your own private island.(Or let us know you need assistance, and we will make sure someone is there when you arrive.)
