With no weed-killer used on the property, there is plenty of insect and bird life. In the autumn there are beautiful organic apples in the orchard. We suggest you slow down. Relax. Head to the beach with your towel, or turn right out of the gate and walk, with beautiful views of Kells and Dingle Bay. For golfers, Dooks and Waterville are both half an hour away.

The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

Skellig Michael & Portmagee base for solo travellers or couples wanting simple, clean, good-value accommodation. A practical (not luxury) studio ideal for guests out exploring who want a quiet place to sleep, shower and prepare light meals. Just 10–15 minutes from Portmagee harbour and Skellig Michael boat departures, and close to Valentia Island, the Ring of Kerry, beaches and coastal walks.
