We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods, the perfect peaceful retreat from city life. The hot tub was such a treat in the evenings. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit too, and it was great that firewood was provided. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. Two small things to note: the two doors facing the bed don’t have curtains, so it gets quite bright in the morning and feels a bit exposed, I found it a little uncomfortable. Also, the path leading up to the cabin was very muddy, so make sure you wear the right shoes. Overall, I would stay again, it was a great getaway, and we left feeling refreshed.

We have stayed at this place a few times now and always enjoy our visit. It’s perfect for a big group, has a well stocked kitchen, a cozy fireplace and a wonderful hot tub with views of the beautiful yard. Will be back next year!

We had a wonderful stay at Willow Cottage! The cottage itself was so cozy and clean & the location close to the beach is amazing. It had everything we needed and more, and the hot tub & patio area was the cherry on top! Becky & Scott were welcoming, helpful hosts and we would definitely stay again in the future :)

What a fantastic place! From the view to the hot tub to the really great and well stocked space, we had an amazing stay here with everything that we needed. Even some toys for my toddler! This is a real gem and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. I could spend days sitting in the sun room or on the deck watching the wildlife and the view. We will definitely be back! We had a lovely stay at Kara and Loki's hideaway in Sooke. It felt like we were miles away from everything; we only wished we had booked a longer stay. There is so much to explore inside and outside of the retreat; we only touched on so many of the arts, reading and puzzles laid out in private little nooks throughout the home. Our hosts were very helpful and just a message away; very responsive and respected our privacy.

Great location in beautiful Cowichan valley with access to great hiking (Cowichan bay estuary and Stony Hill were two favourites). Our house was in a quiet location with comfortable bed and furnishings and a private hot tub for an end of day soak. An excellent stay!

My dad and I enjoyed our stay at Sherry’s place! It was close for us to go back and forth to visit my grandma in Qualicum beach. My grandma was very impressed with the space as well. The hot tub was a nice treat. The place was very clean. Felt private for us to enjoy. Sherry was great to communicate with. I would stay again next time I’m out to visit grandma.

This is our second visit and we will be back again next year. If you like breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains, your own private beach, the most well maintained hot tub that has the amazing views of the ocean as well along with the sitting spaces outside than this is your place to stay. The views actually start as soon as you enter the front gate. The home is so cozy and clean you feel right at home right away. We fell asleep at night listening to the gentle waves. We saw so many sea lions swim by along with a bald eagle that visited us all day on a tree in the yard! We love Sooke it’s a really nice town to stay and has stores for shopping and groceries minutes away. Maria thank you for being such a great host! Frank and Cheryl

We had a wonderful stay at Louise’s cottage! The location is great, close to St Mary’s lake and a quick drive to Ganges. Louise was an excellent host and easy to communicate with. The cottage was peaceful, quiet and has lovely views. Great getaway on Saltspring Island.

We stayed at Heather and Robs place for 3 nights and it was absolute bliss. It was great to be able to bring our dogs and be provided with pet bowls. The house was spacious and perfect for our family of 4. We spend 3 beautiful days on the beaches around the area and truly enjoyed every minute. This was not our first visit to Port Renfrew so we were prepared with food and drinks but as a heads up to anyone not familiar with the area, it is remote and there are not a lot of options to eat out in the off season. We did enjoy a couple meals at the pub but loved having the full kitchen to be able to prepare meals at the house. Highly recommend this place for a getaway. The view is breathtaking from the kitchen, living room and dining area. You could spend all day just watching the wildlife from the comfort of your Airbnb. Thanks so much, Heather and Rob!

Our stay at this cabin delivered on all our dreams for a gulf island stay. This is a well loved and lived in home with character and shows off all the small touches that you might not expect from an air bnb. It has a spectacular garden that is clearly the work of many years of dedication and no photos will really do it justice. Across the garden are different seating arrangements that let you chase the sun no matter what time of day you want to go out and catch a few rays. Off the front deck is a very active hummingbird feeder and super comfortable chaise. The central bathroom is really just as spectacular as the pictures would have you believe: almost worth the stay all on its own. The kitchen is well stocked and has surprisingly well seasoned cast iron pans and a griddle that made leisurely morning pancake breakfasts just that much easier and more enjoyable. We hope we have the chance to stay again!

This won’t be surprising because it’s been said in every review. This place is amazing. To have an acre and a half of private, oceanfront property is rare. We loved everything. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine listening to the waves come in was sublime. Corinne is for sure the quickest, friendliest, most generous host I’ve encountered through Airbnb. Bathrooms had great water pressure. When we had a little downtime, the TV was big and fantastic. The hikes around the area are just top notch. What people haven’t mentioned though is Corinne doesn’t have a lengthy ‘clean to do list’ for when you leave. I also think people are walking away from Airbnb’s due to price gouging. This place is crazy reasonable and I will come again! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This was by far one of our best Airbnb experiences to date. Leslie was an incredible host; very welcoming and kind, very quick to respond, and very flexible with check-in and check-out. Both the property and cottage are very well maintained, and the cottage has everything you need for a weekend getaway. Leslie even left us a can of coffee beans from her roastery and was kind enough to seal the leftovers for us to bring home. Would absolutely recommend this Airbnb stay to anyone looking for a cozy getaway. Thank you, Leslie - we can’t wait to come back!

Cozy stay :) Jason gave us a heads up that the power in the town was out several hours before our arrival and provided us with updates every hour. He gave us the opportunity to change our plans if needed. We are happy we ended up deciding to still come because the power came back very shortly after arriving. The house heated back up quickly and we had a wonderful time going to some of the places Jason recommended.

We were visiting the island to spend time with our son over the family day long weekend and had a wonderful stay. Such a cozy little cottage surrounded by natural beauty. Very well stocked kitchen and we immediately felt right at home. Lindsay

Enjoy the peace and tranquility this place has to offer. It was so relaxing to stare out at the wonderful bay and see otters play outside on the docks. I will always remember this place and will 100% come back to it. The host is wonderful and responsive and checked in on me various times to make sure we were enjoying our visit. I wish more hosts were like this! Cannot recommend this place any higher!

This was an incredible space for our family to spend time together during the holidays. It was a short 2 minute walk to the beach with incredible views! We saw seals each time we visited the beach. The house was very clean, modern and comfortable. We loved having enough bedrooms for each of our children to have their own space and the common spaces were large and comfortable for everyone as well. Loved it!

Definitely a 10/10. The cottage was immaculate and was equipped with all the amenities needed for our stay. It was cozy, warm, comfortable and quiet. In walking distance to Rathtrevor Beach and the Top Bridge Trail. Also, close to restaurants and stores if needed. We stayed 3 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend - October 2024

We loved our stay at the Hare Cottage! We loved how close it was to different trails like the galloping goose and other parks and hikes. The cottage was warm and cozy and had lots of wonderful touches like books, dvds, and games that made our stay extra comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable! Guy and Amber were excellent and thoughtful hosts. Thank you for a perfect weekend away!
