While we only stayed on night on our cross-country trip, Carol’s place was one of our favorite stops. Located down a gravel road, this “Missouri Century Farm” is a special place…quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The farm is located on the northern edge of the Ozarks, down a gravel road that takes you away from civilization and into a wonderful river valley with overlooking bluffs and plenty of places to hike and experience nature. On our visit, the afternoon clouds gave way to a brief thunderstorm. This made for a very magical moment as we sat on the front porch enjoying sound of the rain and watching the nearby horses seek shelter under the trees along the adjacent fence line. The cabin is charming, clean, and very comfortable…but be aware that calling it a “two-bedroom unit” is a bit of a stretch. It is more like a studio with an open loft.

This place is AH-mazing and we honestly didn't want to leave. So peaceful, out of the city but still so close to all of the wedding events that we were visiting St. James for. LOVED the area, the quiet and everything about the farm style, eclectic house. I want a make-up table now (even though I don't wear much make-up), and I want some COWS, lol! I only rated getting in lower stars because my husband and I are "old" and unfamiliar with how all the different newish keyless entry locks work and that took us a hot minute to get right. 🤦 #wedumb 😂 If we ever need a place in St. James to stay, this will definitely be our first choice!

Enjoyed a peaceful weekend with my parents from the coast, this was such a great place to enjoy the Midwest. Great porch to enjoy the sunrise together and the back patio was has a great view by the fire. It is steep stairs to get up and down so be mindful of those with difficulty walking. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to again in the future!

Accommodations were very clean, well appointed and cozy. Location is peaceful and 30 minutes for Meramec Springs.

Adorable, clean, welcoming cabin in the woods. Our family of 5 (3 kids ages 4, 6 and 9) really enjoyed the stay. I was impressed with how clean it was and it was nice that the kitchen had everything you could need, and beds were clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the Lincoln logs :) Our only complaint was that it was more remote than we realized - however, I recall the description did mention something about being 2 miles out on a dirt road...they weren't joking, it's really out there! The directions given by the host didn't seem quite right, so we took a wrong turn and ended up on an even more remote dirt road that looked like it was better suited for a four-wheeler rather than our mini van (we bottomed out at one point and then had to cross a dry creek bed -- but this was because we took a wrong turn... we eventually found it, but I'd recommend arriving in daylight! Once we arrived, it was a great little cabin! Just be prepared to drive the dirt roads for a while to get there!

Wow! This place was so beautiful! We spent the whole weekend on the covered deck, watching wildlife and clouds go by. It was a great way to get away from our busy lives and relax! Be prepared that the noise from the highway can be frequent, but the views are well worth it! I have never seen such a spotless and clean cabin, with great amenities! We hope to be back soon!

We had an adventure packed, fun weekend, camping, celebrating His resurrection and my birthday April 18-20. I had a splendid birthday. The weather forecast was rainy and stormy, so we packed lots of muck boots and an instant pot. We slid around and tromped in the mud. With the background of the green of the trees and the post-storm calm, and the white horse grazing, it looked like a fairy tale. The brown horses in the field were breathtaking. I felt so good being out there, in the wide open spaces, and with the animals. Some GI symptoms I'd been having at home were completely gone while there. The tent, or yurt, kept us wonderfully dry. So thankful for this stay.

Beautiful place! I would would highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable getaway.

Felt like we were staying with family! Leah thought of so many personal touches. Examples: rugs when you step out of bed so your feet don’t get cold. A mini flashlight in the nightstand. DEElicious chocolate chip cookies. Very clean and cute decor. Thanks for the great stay!
