A beautiful and unique mountains escape with 6.5 acres of gardens to enjoy! Featuring a tennis court, a secret garden, meandering pathways to explore, a huge trampoline and a swing set for kids (and kids at heart), and seasonal gardens. Perfect base to explore the mountains or just have a relaxing weekend enjoying the house and grounds. NB the tennis court is great for a fun game, but not professional standard, and the piano is very old and out of tune and not playable (other than for fun).

High ceilings, original timber floors and wrap around verandahs, in winter you can keep cosy and warm by the fire or enjoy a fire pit outside, and in the evening gaze up at the stars as clear as you’ll see them! In summer you can take a 5 minute drive to Abercrombie river for a swim. A separate 1 x bedroom cottage plus lounge room with sofa bed is available (separate booking Shearers Cottage) plus camping for larger bookings.

Contemporary country experience Enjoy the simplicity and restoration that rural peace offers without getting your hands dirty (*unless you want to!). This design inspired cottage provides a place for up to 6 people to take in the sunset sitting by the open fire, then wake to collect fresh eggs and watch the horses, cows and kangaroos graze, or wander down to the creek for a picnic. The cottage is fully enclosed in a fenced area 800m2. We have changed the fencing so none is electric.
