Sometimes it’s such a cliché to say “the photos did not do it justice “ but this is one of those rare occasions when it really does apply.. The Villa Tile is the perfect place for a couple or small family and has everything within a few metres.. the beach literally is on you back door step, next door is a beach bar with a pool which you are welcome to use. The hosts went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us during our stay, even undertaking some emergency sewing and pillow adjustments when we said that the pillows were a little too firm for our liking… We are already planning to come back in May 2025 and hope to use the Villa Tile again.

Emmanouel und Irene sind sehr zuverlässige und freundliche Gastgeber. Wir sind sehr spät am Abend angekommen, Irene hat auf uns gewartet und uns sogar uns zum einzigen offenen Restaurant begleitet. Im Kühlschrank war etwas Kleines für den mitternachtlichen Hunger der Kinder da, was uns sehr entgegen gekommen ist. Vielen Dank für die tolle Wohnung! Es war alles super - die Wohnung, die Gegend, die Tavernen, die Nähe an Heraklion. Ein Supererlebnis für uns und die zwei Kinder.

Highly recommend! A quiet area, close to everything. We stayed here start of October with our 14 yr old and 3 month old son. The apartment looks like the photos, very clean andy tidy. Very comfortable bed, was huge 💛. We had asked for a cot, which was there. The pool was lovely, very refreshing, solar heated. We were the only ones using it, due to out of main season, an unexpected luxury. The beach is a mix of sand and stones, literally just outside the gate. Within 10 mins walk is a supermarket, pharmacies, a patisserie with huge pain au chocolates - highly recommend, they also had pastries (cheese and bacon, mushroom and ham etc). If you walk along the sea front for about 20mins get into Gournes which has several beach bars, and restaurants/ cafes, we went to Taverna ambrosia, very good even had a baby change area (not everywhere has these) and soft play at the back. It’s a 45 min walk to the Creta aquarium, definitely worth a see. Ioannis arranged several taxis for us.

Es war das dritte Mal, dass ich in Millys House übernachtet habe, und es war einfach wieder wunderbar. ☺️ Lage, Unterkunft, schöne Nachbarschaft mit tollen Bars und Restaurants (und freundlichen Katzen) - es war alles sehr schön. Sehr guter Kontakt bzw. Verständigung mit dem Vermieter, auf Nachfragen wurde ganz schnell eingegangen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! Die Gegend ist ein Traum - und Millys House mit dem schönen Sitzplatz unter dem Baum davor ist sehr gemütlich. Danke und liebe Grüße, Petra & Jürgen

Very comfortable two bedrooms. Fantastic location right on the shore with their own access to the water. A lot of good restaurants with in a walking distance.

This place was wonderful. Most outstanding was the hospitality from our hosts; Artemis, Tasoula, Giorg, and Dimitris, all whom helped us with check-in or questions or help we needed. We were greeted with a warm welcome, some delicious food and a wonderful home. The place is clean and perfect for a beach location. The beach is beautiful and quiet and has a few restaurants near for food. there is a small mini market though it doesnt cater much for meals just the few extras you may need - though they were very friendly and nice. It was easy to communicate, check in and check out and teh beds were comfortable and clean. definite recommendation

Prachtig appartement dat ons meteen een vakantievibe gaf. Heel comfortabel, super ingericht, heerlijke balkons, en ontzettend vriendelijke (digitale) ontvangst en contact tijdens ons verblijf. Een absolute aanrader op alle fronten! Supermarkten in de buurt, restaurants en strand. Het restaurant onder ons heeft super vriendelijke mensen die ons trouwens ook geweldige tips gaven. Wel even oordopjes mee, want de muziek staat her en der tot 3 uur ‘s nachts aan. Dat is dan ook het enige wat even wennen was! Top appartement!

great place, perfect for a familh as well. A short walk to the beach and local taverns. A short drive to Agios Nicholas with great shopping and city walking.

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is very lovingly furnished, clean and has a fantastic location right on the beach. The surrounding area is perfect for sightseeing (close to Chania, Aptera) and hiking. The hosts were very easy to reach and very friendly - there were even some Greek delicacies to welcome us. We would love to come back and can highly recommend this place! Thank you very much!

Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Was uns verwirrt hat, war, dass wir dachten, die Unterkunft sei in Rethymno. Der Flughafen (Heraklion) ist etwa zwei Stunden mit dem Auto entfernt, aber die Strecke und die Landschaft dorthin waren wunderschön. Das Wetter war ziemlich windig, doch wir konnten trotzdem immer auf der Terrasse sitzen. Wunderschöne Aussicht, bequeme Betten, gut ausgestattete Küche. Ein herzlicher Empfang! Wir können nur Gutes berichten! Vielen Dank für alles!

Unser Urlaub mit unseren drei Kindern ( fünf Jahre und drei Jahre) war perfekt! Das Haus ist wunderschön der Außenbereich riesig der Pool einfach nur traumhaft und vor allem der Ausblick ist unbeschreiblich schön. Es gab jeden Tag etwas Neues zu entdecken, in der Umgebung, alles super mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wir bekamen regelmäßig die Wäsche gewechselt und für die Kinder sogar kleine Geschenke gebracht. Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub für uns Wir werden sicher wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für diese wunderschöne Zeit bei euch!!

We were a party of five, my wife and I and 3 30 year olds, our two twins and a son-in-law. We all couldn't say enough good things about this home: the view has to be one of the best on the whole island, relaxing, extremely private and immediately felt right at home. Starting and ending each day with that view, I didn't need anything else, but there is as much to do as you want. For example, just 6 minutes down the hill, you have the great little town of Platka with a few delicious local restaurants, market and a nice sports bar if you want a cocktail...like me. Another 10 minutes down the hill you come to Alymrida, the small coastal city that has nearly a dozen varied restaurants right on the water. 40 minutes away is the charming city of Chania, the jewel of Crete. This home is centrally located, 20+ minutes from the highway to go anywhere you wish to go...but keep in mind your leaving this view behind. I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did.

Alexandra’s place finished off our holiday perfectly. It was better than the photos, with everything you needed. Cristina was great, very friendly and helpful, happy to welcome her to Australia if she comes for a holiday. There are quite a few restaurants around and it is only a short drive into Chania Old town (depending on traffic). The location was great as you could book tours or hire a boat. From this location we went to Balos, winery, olive oil tour and got to know the area. Would definitely stay again or recommend friends to stay. Thanks for making Crete so memorable.

Wir hatten tolle Tage in dem Haus. Da es nur 2 Nachbarhäuser gibt, war es immer sehr ruhig und privat. Der Ausblick ist toll und man hat wirklich mehr als genug Platz draußen. Das Haus und der Aussenbereich sind gepflegt und wir haben uns rundum wohl dort gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Host lief auch sehr gut ab. Wir haben sehr schnell Antworten und Unterstützung zu unseren Anliegen erhalten. Wir können es definitiv weiter empfehlen!

We stayed at the end of October and could not have been happier with this villa. it was spotless, spacious and comfortable for 4 adults and 4 children. The access to the water park for free was excellent for the kids and the last day of opening for the season was on the day we left. The facilities were excellent and the lovely pool and outdoor barbecue area were all great to use. Lots of local supermarkets and restaurants within a km and good access to the beach. It's a first floor property which might be an issue with the steps but we liked having views from every room to the sea and beach. We couldn't really ask for anything else in our stay and if we come back to Crete we would look to stay here again. It's a short drive from Chania. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, offering help with hire cars and local amenities, but they left us to it. We had a great holiday in Crete and a lot of this was down to this superb accommodation we were lucky to find available for our stay

Accueilli chaleureusement avec de délicieux produits locaux grecs, j’ai tout de suite senti que le séjour allait être agréable ! L’appartement est idéalement situé, tout près de Chania et de superbes plages. Tout est impeccable, propre et parfaitement équipé. Et que dire du jacuzzi… un vrai bonheur après une journée bien remplie à explorer les environs.

L'endroit est incroyable, la vue splendide, nature sauvage, dépaysement total et surtout la plage privée et top. Maison bien équipée. Idéal pour se reposer, baignade, rando avec les chèvres, aucunes activités commerciales touristiques hors restos. Village isolé, pas du tout touristique, si c'est ce que vous recherchez c'est l'idéal. Attention, l'accès à la maison en voiture est vraiment une piste sur environ 100 à 200m, allez très doucement avec la voiture de location mais largement faisable. Attention une seule superette dans le village qui était fermée, 2 restos dans le village pas toujours ouverts mais très accueillants, parlant peu anglais. Conseil: faire vraiment le plein de vivres pour la durée du séjour à Charakas à 30min avant d'arriver (prévoir de quoi faire un barbecue). Attention l'accès à la plage depuis la maison se fait par un sentier/escalier un peu raide, ne convient pas au gens qui ont du mal de se déplacer.

Ich hab es sehr genossen hier zu wohnen. Die Aussicht, die Ruhe und generell die Wohnung war ein Traum. Ich hab mich direkt wie zuhause gefühlt und wollte garnicht mehr weg. Immer wieder gerne. Kann diese Unterkunft wärmstens Empfehlen.

Meine 4 besten Freundinnen und ich haben eine Woche in dem Häuschen von Tom verbracht und wir waren von vorne bis hinten begeistert! Die Aussicht von der wunderschönen Terrasse war traumhaft und wir haben es geliebt, hier zu frühstücken, Abend zu essen, an dem Grill zu grillen oder einfach nur zusammen zu sitzen und Spiele zu spielen. Das Haus selbst war ebenfalls richtig hübsch und sehr ordentlich. Alles, was wir brauchten, war vorhanden. Die Räume sind in wirklich viel geräumiger, als sie auf den Fotos scheinen, was uns sehr positiv überrascht hat. Die Küche war mit den wichtigsten Utensilien ausgestattet. Die Dusche hatte immer warmes Wasser und der Duschkopf einen guten Wasserdruck. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren sauber. Jedes Zimmer ist meiner AC ausgestattet. Ab und zu wurden wir von einem zucker-süßen Dackel besucht. Tom ist sehr nett und offen für Empfehlungen! Wir können die Unterkunft von Tom mehr als empfehlen und würden uns freuen, irgendwann wiederzukommen. :)

From the moment we booked to the moment we left we had an excellent experience. Giorgos is very responsive. We arrived to find the apartment was exactly as the photographs. The added bonus we found is that there is air conditioning in both of the bigger rooms, the washing machine is a bonus with plenty of space to dry clothes. The pool area is amazing with plenty of room in the pool to play volleyball and space to sunbathe or sit under some shade. We loved it as much in the daytime as in the evenings. The location is so peaceful with local beaches in easy walking distance. The sea is clear but water shoes help. Excellent masseuse nearby. We walked 15 mins to Gramvousa restaurant and others nearby. We enjoyed Breeze in Kissamos. We went to Balos via car (road can be seen from the balcony) and it was amazing though the walk back up was tough in heat. We loved Elafonisi beach and enjoyed the sunset there. We also enjoyed what Chania had to offer. We would recommend this place 100% to all

The apartments are new, clean and tidy. There is all necessary furniture and appliances in the kitchen. The highlight of the apartments is their own access to the sea, where you can swim, sunbathe or drink your morning coffee. The view of the sea and mountains from there is incredible! Thanks to the host Dimitros for the hospitality and kind gifts, everything was great! The only thing that can be noted - if you are a big man with a height of more than 180 cm, then it may not be comfortable in the bathroom, as it is small and has a low ceiling. In general, the whole room is not big, so those for whom it matters, pay attention to this.

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.
