Best views at Wallowa Lake- Chalet South

The Wallowa Lake Chalets are situated between Wallowa Lake and the Eagle Cap Wilderness. These Chalets have an open floor plan and were designed to encapsulate the natural surrounding beauty. The decks of the Chalets stand 26 ft above the ground creating some of the most surreal views that can be found anywhere in Wallowa County. A Wi-Fi repeater is available in the cabin (if the weather is stormy the Wi-Fi can be spotty). Phone service and shopping areas getting here are few & far between. This is rural living. High Desert Hideaway

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

Enjoy a sunset with full cascade Mountain View’s, green pastures, and grazing horses.

The cabin is located in the City Limits just 3 blocks east of the Downtown District.

Wake Up to Wedding Cake! Stellar Cabin can be your private hideaway. Soak in the wood fired hot tub and gaze up at a blanket of stars. Cook a steak on the grill, make dinner in the fun cook shack and sit around and watch evening come. John Day Fossil Beds are close by. Hike Blue Basin, swim in the river or dig for fossils! We are out of range for most cell service, but it's close by. Wifi available at host house if needed! And pets are welcome!

Surrounded by nearly 45 acres of secluded mountain forest a mile above the South Fork of the Payette River between Banks and Crouch, this private yurt offers true off-grid living with modern comforts. Enjoy electricity, Starlink internet, a mini-split for heat and AC, wood stove, propane cook stove and grill. Close to hot springs, hiking and river fun. Not for everyone. No running water, we provide fresh water and a clean porta-potty.
