Welcome to The Stable - a serene solo respite, artist’s retreat or unique getaway for 1 to 6 registered guests. Close to I-85 & I-40, Duke, NCCU and the downtown Durham scene. Quaint & artsy Hillsborough, funky & fun Chapel Hill/UNC and Carrboro are a short drive. Eno River State Park, hiking & biking trails, and the Mountains to Sea Trail are 2.5 miles away. Full of unexpected details, including an outside labyrinth, The Stable is a comfortable sanctuary for all who want to settle in and smile.

Timberwood Tiny Home

Timberwood Tiny Home is a place to rest your head & heart in Efland, North Carolina. The peaceful retreat is down a country road approximately 10-minutes from downtown Hillsborough. The 200 square foot tiny home is on a private corner of 8-acres shared with our main house. It features Scandinavian-style details, two beds, a spacious porch, abundant natural light, a wood-fired hot tub, barrel sauna, cold plunge, and more. There are features of the home that may make it unsuitable for children.

Light-filled Guesthouse Near Duke

Second floor of recently-built garage apartment in a charming, peaceful Durham neighborhood. Twenty minutes to RDU Airport, five minutes to Duke's East Campus and ten minutes to West Campus, we are an easy walk to a range of locally-owned restaurants. Lovely, light-filled apartment has a bedroom, full kitchen and living area, bathroom, private entrance, and patio with seating. Occasionally, we may have first-floor space available at extra cost. This new tiny house is nestled amongst mature hardwood trees on a 30 acre working family farm in Hillsborough. Quiet your mind and restore your body in the luxurious hot tub or warm up by the cozy fire-pit. Under 10 miles to Hillsborough or Durham, and their many restaurants, breweries and shops. Enjoy the privacy of two secluded wooded acres, surrounded by the sights and sounds of our farm, where we are growing fruits, veggies and mushrooms & caring for our animals and pastures.

This detached guest studio in Carrboro is nestled in the trees. A great place to stay while visiting family and friends, or to explore the area. Vaulted ceilings, stained concrete floors, and south-facing windows make this a bright and cheery space. Enjoy the very comfortable bed with clean and sanitized linens and towels. Work at the expandable dining table or in the comfortable chair. Walk, drive, Uber, or take the free bus to many great restaurants, coffee shops nearby.

The Magnolia

The Magnolia is a multi-story treehouse, nestled on a charming wooded lot, minutes to downtown Hillsborough, NC. Built in the treetops, this bright and airy space is full of handmade touches and warm wood tones. Enjoy your tea or coffee on the second story deck for two, relax in the cozy loft bedroom with views of the forest, prepare meals in the kitchen for a night in, and wrap up your day beside the outdoor fire pit and water garden. We can't wait to have you at The Magnolia!

Enjoy this new private suite in downtown Hillsborough with separate entrance. We are a 1/2 mile to restaurants and shopping on Churton Street. King bed, Full bath, kitchenette with microwave, Keurig coffee maker, tea kettle, wifi, Roku TV, small refrigerator, sitting area, and workspace. Truly a unique and comfortable place to stay. Enjoy wine and coffee on the front porch or visit the local downtown coffee shops and restaurants. Our space is best suited for adults.

Tucked away in the back of our 1927 property sits The Sidekick, a thoughtfully restored carriage house surrounded by peaceful woods & grand homes. Part cowboy clubhouse, part restful retreat, The Sidekick is a conveniently-located getaway for couples, solo travelers, or small groups. Take a dip in the saline pool, lounge in the mature garden, or just rest your sleepy head on luxurious linens in your sweet lil' loft bedroom.

Cozy efficiency newly built in quiet neighborhood w/ private entrance. Two-room studio has forest view on two sides. Sliding glass doors open to fixed window screens to create totally open-air feel with cross breeze. Curtains wrap room for total privacy. King-size bed with memory foam mattress, work/dining area, kitchenette, 3/4 bath, and TV-viewing room. 2 miles from UNC, 5 miles from Duke. Jacuzzi not available.
