Revamped Minimalist Stone Country House

Nestled on the foot of mount Giouchtas, in the picturesque village of Archanes, our stone countryhouse is located in one of the most central and beautiful parts of the area. Archanes are 20 minutes away from the centre of Heraklion(15km), 15 minutes away from Heraklion's International airport, 15 minutes away from the famous Minoan palace of Knossos, as well as 20 minutes away from numerous beautiful beaches. Situated in the center of the most important wine-producing region of Crete, it has a 5000 years old history, while excavations conducted in the last 50 years have brought to light a lot of sites dating back to the Minoan period. The village is also very famous for its typical Cretan architecture. Most of the houses have been restored recently and Archanes has won the second award as “the best restored village in Europe”. The house enjoys a spacious interior and a private garden, which is protected by a peripheral wall. This is a typical characteristic of old Cretan houses of the area. Guests enter the private garden through the gate which then leads to the main building. I am always at the disposal of my guests, so that I can make their holiday problem-free. My guests can reach me at my mobile phone, text me or send a message directly to my inbox. Furthermore, there is a free parking very close to the house. The country house is only 20’ away from the “Nikos Kazantzakis Airport” and the port. The archeological site of Knossos is 15’ away.

The villa is located 80 meters from the sea, in the picturesque village of Sissi. With sea and mountain views, this luxury property is close to all local amenities. An ideal combination for the perfect summer holiday with family or friends. The spacious outdoor area offers a large sun terrace with sun beds and a 35 m² swimming pool. Our villa features a heated pool (Optional). In April, May and October, the heating is complimentary. Outside of these months, a small fee of €10 per day applies.

Yaya ‘s (grandmother’s) house, is located on the main road of the village and is easily accessible by car, with FREE parking on the street, within a short distance from the house. The house is 60 square meters (m²) with a mezzanine 20 m². There is a yard outside, where a beautiful path will lead you to the herbal garden and a great view of the mountains, where you can spend a lot of time smelling different types of herbs. Perfectly located in the adjoining field to the village of Myrsini, "Sotir Ali Stone House" is a beautiful stone built farmhouse that is perched among olive groves, overlooking the gulf of Mirabello. It is built on the exact same spot of an older lodging, a "magatze" as we call it here, that served our family during the olive's harvest. The name of the olive groves around the house is Sotirali and may be a corruption of the Turkish name "Sotir Αli".
