We stopped there overnight while travelling so we appreciated that breakfast provisions were provided. The place was cosy and comfortable but only tables were outside as shown in the photos. The correct entrance was hard to find in the dark but they were very helpful in directing us. A lovely quiet place away from the town centre.

I stayed for 6 nights for a change of scenery for remote work and to explore a new area on my rest days. The internet was fast and had no issues with my many video meetings. I never felt constricted in this tidy tiny home. I could work on the dining table, couch or the porch. Given the location, I was worried about the noise bec I considered myself sensitive to sounds. The place is near the motorway and the train track isn't far away. Yes, there's noise but it wasn't an issue during meetings or when I slept. City traffic noise is 10x worse than that! I had really good sleep during my stay. The bed was very comfy too, btw. Cooking on the compact oven/stove was challenging, but manageable. I used the Weber grill more because I found it easier. I appreciated Megan's responsiveness and helpfulness. The food hamper was a very pleasant surprise. The Nespresso machine and pods were great extras. All these were much appreciated for my long-ish stay there. Would I return? Yes, I would.

Great location - we spent two nights here with our two year old to go to the zoo. 10 mins from everything we needed including the parks in town.

The cottage was perfect for our family get-together for a weekend in Mudgee. The cottage is clean and well equipped. The living area and the main bedroom have air conditioning and the other bedrooms very well working fans, which was important on a weekend with temperatures in the high thirties. The location, amenities, and hosts were absolutely fantastic. Hillside is set in a beautiful and tranquil spot — the perfect place to unwind. I’ve never stayed at an Airbnb where so much care and thought has gone into ensuring a completely stress-free stay… until now. From the freshly squeezed orange juice and bottle of milk in the fridge to the little chocolate bunnies at Easter, every detail was a thoughtful touch. It’s clear that Anna and Norbert have put a great deal of care into creating a space that truly caters to their guests — and they’ve absolutely nailed it in every aspect. Leo the dog was a hit with our kids — incredibly friendly and full of character! We’re already planning our next trip and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hillside to anyone looking for a peaceful escape, seamless comfort, and the warmest, kindest hosts you could hope to meet. Don't forget to try the wine, its very good!

Thank you for the loveliest and most relaxing stay with you, Ed and Romi. Your special and thoughtful touches and beautiful property meant that... even though it was raining for a short time... we had so much luxury and activities to occupy our time. We can't wait to stay with you again.

The cottage is located in a pretty valley and it has been beautifully restored. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We hope to be able to stay for longer next time.
