The Mistle is a gorgeous, quaint cottage (sleeps 4) at the far end of a historic barn. Located in the friendly village of Brockholes near Holmfirth, accessible by train, it's perfect families and friends looking for a base for a short break. It's also a great base for working. Recently renovated, you'll find it attractive, cosy and well-equipped. The cottage sits across a cobbled courtyard from our house so we're here to help. There are excellent links from the train station to Manchester airport, Leeds, York and London via Wakefield. Bus stops are close by (for Huddersfield and Bradford) and there is easy access to the M62 (approximately 2 miles away). Taxis are available from Huddersfield train station.

Rose cottage is dog friendly. Ideally located just 4 mins walk from the town centre. with its multitude of places to eat out and drink from romantic restaurants to family friendly diners and cozy real ale pubs to lively cocktail bars. many festivals of art, food and folk music throughout the year and of course, the famous Picturedrome music venue. Holmfirth has something for everyone, nestled in a beautiful setting, surrounded by the idyllic countryside of the Peak District and dales.

We converted the Old Piggery over 20 years ago, and have recently done a full refurbishment. It now has a cosy snug with a sofa as well as a lounge with far-reaching views. There is an ensuite bathroom and downstairs, a shower and toilet. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with a king-sized, chunky farmhouse bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. The lounge area has a Laura Ashley sofa and snuggle chair positioned to take in a far-reaching views or a 43 inch TV if you prefer!

This is a beautiful country cottage. The entire cottage is to rent with 3 double bedrooms. The bedrooms are sumptuous with top of the range bedding feather pillows and feather duvets. There’s one king sized bed . 1 Queen sized bed and 1 double bed. I renovated the place top to bottom a few years ago . Guests will have 2 bathrooms. If you like minimalist style this may not be for you, however if you love character, cosyness and a home away from home, welcome to my cottage!
