This is one of the best Bed and Breakfast experiences you can have in Iceland! The host family lives there, giving you a homey feeling, a wonderful homemade breakfast and good conversation with ideas about what to do in the area if you ask.

I booked this room because I had an overnight layover in KEF and going all the way to Reykjavik did not seem like a good use of time or money. The check-in instructions were clear. The room was very clean and tidy, as was the bathroom. There was a fridge in it, which was a nice amenity. There was an occasional loud car (or teenager) going by, so if you're a light sleeper you might want to bring earplugs, but it didn't bother me. I was able to take the number 55 bus from the airport to the center of Keflavik, and the apartment was a short 10-15 minute walk from there. My flight in the morning was quite early, before the bus started running, so I planned to walk to the airport. There is a bike trail that goes all the way from the airport to Reykjavik. I would say it would probably take an hour to walk from Keflavik to the airport, but a nice local stopped and offered me a ride. TL;DR -- This is a great option for a few hours' sleep close to KEF!

I had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! Birgir was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The space was spotless, cozy, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was our Iceland story time with Birgir—his captivating stories gave us a deeper appreciation for the country and its culture. His passion for the environment was truly inspiring, motivating me to become more proactive about global warming and environmental responsibility. Birgir also recommended trying an Icelandic swimming pool, and we absolutely loved it! This was a truly memorable stay, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Sympatyczny gospodarz. Wygodne zameldowanie - kod do drzwi. Bardzo czysty i duży pokój, wygodne łazienki. Śniadanie dostępne - samoobsługowe: pieczywo, dżemy, sery, jawa, herbata. Dziękujemy!

Das Zimmer bei Gudrun war perfekt. Es ist ausreichend groß und hat Zugang zu einem Balkon. Die Küche und das Bad werden gemeinsam genutzt, was aber kein Problem ist. Das Frühstück fanden wir super. Gudrun ist sehr freundlich und hat uns viel über die Gegend und Island erzählt. Wir würden es wieder buchen.

Vilhelm hat uns sehr freundlich begrüßt und war sehr hilfsbereit. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und ruhigen Aufenthalt. Ich würde jederzeit wieder bei Vilhelm übernachten.

Place was excellent. Comfortable. Exactly as described. Kitchen and bathroom clean and had everything you might need. Dagmar was super helpful and gave information immediately with updates day of arrival. Stayed due to proximity to blue lagoon and KEF and was VERY convenient. Grindavik is essentially abandoned. Don’t count on much besides gas. Locals were surprised we stayed there.

La casa di Elisabet e Sveinn è una buona alternativa per chi deve soggiornare ad Akureyri. Una bella vista sul mare e a 5 minuti dal centro in auto. La stanza era accogliente e pulita, come nelle foto. Comunicazione e accoglienza ottima.

Ganz tolle Gastgeber. Hier fühlt man sich direkt Zuhause. Es fehlt einem an gar nichts. Die Wohnung ist voll ausgestattet und verfügt über einen so gemütlichen Wohnbereich. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Ganz klare Empfehlung!

Super schöne Unterkunft auf einer Farm. Mirjam bietet leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Wir waren total zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt 👍

We stayed at Anna's place for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it. With just being few kms away from Akureyri, it's a perfect place for exploring Northern Iceland. The private apartment had all the amenities we needed for a very comfortable stay. Absolutely loved the mountain view from the kitchen and bedroom and the sound of birds chirping. Anna is such a lovely human being and we absolutely enjoyed every moment of chatting with her. She talked about herself, her family and so many interesting stories about Iceland. She has such a lovely personality. She even cooked some local delicacy for us and it was delicious! We would definitely want to come back and stay here again! Thank you so much Anna for hosting us! :)

Very nice and very clean place! The house is new and modern. The simple but excellent breakfast! It's like feeling at home! The best airbnb in Iceland!

Absolutely amazing!!! This was our one airbnb to break up a campervan trip around the whole ring road and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The food was all homemade and delicious, especially the bread and waffles. Our host was so lovely and showed us around the farm where we had such a great time meeting the sheep and horses! After passing by so many in Iceland, it was a real treat to be able to pet and see the horses up close. The spaces were perfect as well, nice big rooms with an attached bathroom. Fridge and freezer space, laundry, coffee, tea, and a warm welcome from the family dog, we can’t wait to come back! <3

Valborg is an excellent host, we loved our short stay and would definitely return. It's a great location, facilities are all you need and Valborg provided an excellent breakfast. We listened to some of her recorded music (Valborg Olafs) while we drove around Iceland.
