The Beach Cottage

The Beach Cottage is a self-catering cottage on a working dairy farm within walking distance to the beach. It is only 10km from the EL airport and a 20 minute drive into EL. The cottage has beautiful views of the sea as well as of cows grazing on green pastures. It has a fully functional kitchen. Tea, coffee, fresh farm milk & rusks are provided on arrival. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Please note, own transport advisable as we are on a farm.

Our house is bright, airy and welcoming with an open-plan lifestyle, large sliding doors opening onto a covered verandah and a private courtyard and secure off-street parking. You're just minutes from the beach and shops and our neighbourhood is safe and friendly. The sunny main bedroom has a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms both have two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. Our house is filled with books, love and light and we look forward to your visit!

A well equipped kitchenette with stove and oven makes self catering easy. For those who enjoy walking and running, we are a short 2km away from Nahoon river and beach. Spar and a selection of great restaurants and coffee shops are also a short walk away.

Enjoy breathtaking ocean views from the large deck, which leads off from the lounge and open plan fitted kitchen. You can watch the waves crash against the rocks plus see the whales, dolphins, various sea activities and passing seagoing craft. Five of the six bedrooms boast amazing sea views. The boardwalk, Gonubie Main Beach, River Mouth, Point, four restaurants and a shopping center are within easy walking distance. Witness stunning sunrises, sunsets.

Our self catering studio, with backup power and aircon, is connected to the main house. It offers a neat and cozy open plan studio style unit with private entrance and private deck. There is remote access and off street parking for 1 vehicle. Double cab bakkies with a tow hitch don’t fit when there’s 2 cars parked in - where on street parking is generally safe in our quiet neighbourhood. Nahoon Beach and river is 1.5km, Spar and restaurants 500m away.
