The Lodge is situated on its original site which dates back to the 16th Century when it was the home to the Gatekeeper of Muckruss. Beautifully converted using natural building materials, the space is light, peaceful and open, heated with a cosy wood burner. The interior is handmade, restored or salvaged by us. We provide sourdough, homemade jam, a homemade tipple & a few staples on arrival. A rural retreat right in the heart of vibrant West Cork.

Our elegant and peaceful garden lodge has stunning sea views and is located a 5 minute walk from two long beaches, Garrettstown and Garrylucas. The renowned gourmet town of Kinsale is less than ten minutes by car and the airport is just a 30 minutes drive. The local area is a mecca for surfers, swimmers, cyclists and those who just want to go for long peaceful walks on one of the many local beaches. The local village is Ballinspittle, which offers all the basics and a few surprises.

The Cabin

This unique tiny house is an inviting & creative space, located along the Wild Atlantic Way - exactly 1/2 way between the 2017 Urbanism award winning town of Clonakilty and the renowned beach Inchydoney which is known for being one of the most beautiful and relaxing beaches in West Cork. Built using native Douglas fir & surrounded by trees, the cabin is located on the grounds of a small residential home where guests will have their own separate outdoor decking and privacy.

The Coach House is an ideal spot for a romantic hideaway on the Wild Atlantic Way. The mezzanine bedroom boasts a kingsize sleigh bed , overlooking a cosy sitting room with a wood-burning stove for warming your hands and feet after a walk on the beach or a dip in the sea. For small families the sofa in the sitting room converts into a comfortable single bed. Outside the traditional coach house doors is a stone paved terrace, garden furniture & steps down to a sunken garden
