fantastic stay away for my partners 40th Birthday celebrations. Very cosy and tucked away with breathtaking views of Elie. Fiona was a great host. We shall be back in the near future.

We were looking for a total peaceful break, clear instructions on how to use amenities, hot tub was really clean and really warm so enjoyed hours relaxing in it! Thank you Ainslie ❤️

A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

Our stay at Laura's house was incredible. She provided everything we needed and more. We had our 1yr and 3yr with us and she had a toy for them, provided a high chair and bath seat along with the cot we requested. The house was so clean and beautiful, everything was perfect! Loved being surrounded by farm land, you can see Wallace Monument from the back of the house. The back patio is fenced in so our boys could play safely. We loved the hot tub! What a bonus! Laura responded to every message immediately, she had a welcome basket of food and champagne for us, she was so helpful and accommodating. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very well designed cottage making the best possible use of quite a small space - with both a shower room and bathroom , utility room as well as kitchen/living space and the patio with hot tub. Although near to the High Street with a range of takeaways and a superb butcher (Hunters) the cottage is in a very quiet street. The nearby Curate Wynd free car park was very handy and we could unload from there. Although Dawn and Darren were away Dawn was on hand to answer any queries. We had a great three day break - spending the days at the RSPB Nature Reserve in stunning weather. We ate out one night at the Balgedie Toll Tavern - highly recommended for great food and very good service.

Such a beautiful find! Perfect little get away, well equipped home from home. Well looked after and 10/10 cleanliness. Will be booking again.

We had an absolutely lovely time at Ali's place. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hot tub and garnden really make the place with stunning views. Easy access to Edinburgh by train and car and also the Fife coastal path. We loved it! would be very happy to return again one day. Ali was the perfect host.

Helen was an excellent host and very helpful when we were dropped off at the wrong place! We felt really welcomed in their home, and enjoyed the lovely welcome gift. The hot tub is lovely and overlooks the beautiful property. Loved our stay!

We rented Ladywell Lodge with the Doocot for a large family holiday. Though the cottage is up in the hills, it was very quick to get to major routes. The lodge was perfect for the two couples who stayed there. It is tucked away in its own large outdoor space with woods and hill walks just moments away. It was comfortable and clean with everything as described. The kitchen was well laid out and the sitting room really cosy. The hosts were great too - Sandra is really responsive and we found the flexible check in really good. It was perfect for our family and being able to pair renting this with the Doocot meant we had a brilliant space for lots of people to stay. My husband and I would love to go back and would happily rent the lodge again as it was so comfortable in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

Had a great stay here, everything was here that I needed, my dogs were also very well catered for. I had to change the plans a couple of times and Anne was very responsive and very helpful. Would 100% recommend this little apartment, it was small but perfectly formed with a quaint little courtyard. Love it.

Laura’s place was wonderful. She was also an accommodating host, which we really appreciated. The place was beautiful and completely spotless. We really recommend ❤️

Really nice and quaint cottage. Curling up with the fire and just unwinding against the quiet of the surroundings was awesome.

What an incredible getaway from the world! Very idyllic, country living. The home felt super cosy and homely. Eggs from the chickens and marmalade in the kitchen waiting for our arrival was a lovely touch! Beds were all very comfortable and we all had great night sleep each night. We had a fantastic stay here! The cottage is lovely and immaculate! Rhona was really proactive with communication and gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants and cafes. The location is beautiful! Just a few steps to a lovely and peaceful beach and 10 minutes walk into town. We hope to be back!

What a fabulous little find, cosy cottage fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Bed was so comfortable had a great nights sleep. Great location for shops and food. House was spotlessly clean and fab complimentary toiletries. Host was good communicator and was good to know they were available and on hand if needed which we didnt as everything was perfect. Good base for exploring Ballater , Braemar and the surrounding area including Lochnagar.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen aber kurzen Aufenthalt. Leider konnten wir nicht viel von der Umgebung sehen, da es durchgehend geregnet hat. aber wir konnten dafür das Apartment voll ausnutzen und es uns dort gemütlich machen, wofür es auf jeden Fall gemacht ist.

Highly enjoyable stay - very easy checkin, great location, very nice cottage. Really easy to get around (with car), Bostock bakery just 5 mins down the road Highly recommended for a nice trip away - Edinburgh was a 40min drive too

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely little details in the decor and a super powerful shower. Kathryn was friendly and helpful. Very happy to recommend the cottage.

Really lovely little cottage, very peaceful location and stunning views out the back. Kitchen beatiful and stocked with the essentials (salt, pepper, oil, plenty of pots and pans). Only slight downside would be a very squeaky bed, comfortable enough but noisy.

Beautifully quaint bolthole! The Cupboard is a utterly lovely place in Elie, literal stonesthrow from the beach, where our dog and us had a magical time. Tiny but expertly laid out, and efficiently uses the space so you feel super at home. We love it and will defo be back

We had a truly memorable and relaxing stay at Old Mains Cottage — everything was perfect, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. The scenery and peaceful surroundings were exactly what we needed, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area.

Pam and Alyssa were very helpful and flexible - and left us some goodies including fresh eggs of varied size and colour. The cottage is pretty and very well kitted out - very clean and comfortable. The location is really special - on the side of the glen, unbelievably quiet. Just pheasants, kites, buzzards, rabbits, sheep, deer and a stoat. We had sunny blue skies and went walking from the cottage every day. Hills, fields and forests everywhere you look. We both felt that 3 weeks there would have been good for us. Thanks again to Pam and Alyssa for being excellent hosts. I hope that we'll be able to return soon.
