Where do I even start? This place is pure magic. Tucked right on the edge of Bwindi’s Impenetrable Forest, it felt like we could literally touch the forest from our cabin terrace — and when the rain rolled in? Pure, soul-soothing enchantment. Nature’s lullaby at its finest. The staff? Absolute gems! Warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated — from serving up mouthwatering meals to even handling our laundry with care. And when it came time for our gorilla trekking adventure, they didn’t just point us in the right direction — they made sure we got to the check-in spot, snacks in hand like the pros they are. The lodge also offers super comfy transfers — complete with scenic stops at lakes and rolling hills, turning the journey into part of the experience. Honestly, it wasn’t just a stay — it was the kind of trip you carry in your heart long after you’ve left. Already dreaming of the day we'll be back!

We felt like home all the time! The staff was extraordinarily friendly! We never had so many nice conversations since travelling through countries. The experiences we made were amazing. The Karungi-Camp Team will fulfill all your dreams. We had the chance to go to an international wedding, join a soccer match, hike though the area, get to know alot of the village and be a part of it. Thank you so much! No words to discribe Aheza. The house, the service, the place with the view of the volconoes just from the front porch, all was great. The service provided by Harriet and her team (William, Vestina and Robert) was top notch. If you want to have a great stay, this is the place to be.

Super angenehme Atmosphäre. Wir wurden aufgenommen und behandelt, als wären wir ein Teil der eigentlich dort hausenden Familie. Die Gastgeber waren immer gut zu erreichen und äußerst hilfsbereit, wenn wir irgendwelche Fragen, oder Bitten hatten. Vielleicht als kleine Randnotiz: Um die Zeit nach der Pensionierung sinnvoll und etwas aufregender zu gestalten, hat sich die Familie dazu entschlossen, Gäst*innen aus dem Ausland bei sich zu hosten.
