Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. The house has both floor heating and a fireplace/stove and consists of a large bedroom/living room with one dobbeltbed and one singlebed; and possibility for two additional madrases on the floor. It also has a bathroom with a shower and a washingmashine and a large well equiped kitchen and dining area.

Espergærde is a charming coastal town surrounded by the sea and beautiful forests. It’s the perfect spot to relax and have fun.

Lejligheden er renoveret i 2024/2025. 1 stue, der også kan bruges som soveværelse, med et smukt isbjørneskind. 1 soveværelse. Nyt køkken og bad og en rummelig entre. Der er to cykler, som kan lånes. Vi er et par uden hjemmeboende børn. Vi har en sød hund, som måske vil komme og hilse på udendørs, hvis I griller i haven. Hunden kommer ikke i lejligheden. Der er fryser God til langtidsophold

The apartment is 80 m2 and in the lower part of the house, totally separated and quiet. There is a beautiful courtyard with table and chairs where you can enjoy your privacy.

Hop på toget direkte til København, tag på Espergærde Strand, besøg Louisiana eller Kronborg i Helsingør: mulighederne er mange. Glem ikke et besøg i Espergærde Havn: smuk udsigt og hyggelige restauranter. Vær opmærksom på at der i huset bor en dejlig kat, Pus, på 10 år. Hun går selv ind og ud af kattelemmen.
