Our cottage is peaceful, comfortable, and conveniently located. The campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is near by and so is Breaux Bridge and Lafayette shopping and restaurants. We live near by and would love to tell you about a variety of places to visit such as the little cafe down town that serves the best fresh fried shrimp poboy served with fresh potato fries and on Saturday provides Cajun music played by local musicians. We love our community and think you will too.

Travel one mile down a sugarcane-lined road to arrive at this self-built cabin modeled after an 1830s Acadian Village home. This one-room rustic cabin sits on 27 acres, perfect for a gadget-free weekend of star gazing and bird watching. You’ll love sipping your coffee (or wine) on the large porches, complete with swing, rockers, and ceiling fans. Bring your furry friend and take long walks around the tree-lined property, or cozy up with your loved one and bask in the privacy of the cabin.

The Cottage is within walking distance of Historic Downtown Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and the many art and cultural attractions including world famous Zydeco Dancing, antique shopping and a short 5 minute ride to Lake Martin Swamp tour where you will see alligators and more! The 870 sq ft Cottage built in 1893 is completely renovated & full of local art & culture. It's perfect for a quiet get-a-way or for entertaining around the granite island. Small front porch is the prettiest in town!

Built in 1897 and listed in the Lafayette Historic Registry, the Givens Cottage has been meticulously brought back to life. Nestled away on .5 acre of beautifully landscaped oasis, this home is located in the unique Sterling Grove Historic District and is steps away from Mouton Plantation, Givens Townhouse, and John Nickerson House. We are within walking distance to restaurants and gift shops. It’s tucked in a historic, beautiful peaceful place where you can rest your mind and refresh your soul.
