My friends and I had the best weekend at this cabin! It’s the perfect place for a peaceful getaway. We spent most of the time outside fishing. Even when it rained, we were still able to fish right off the covered back porch! We also brought my dog who spent hours chasing fish around the pond. This place is secluded, very private, and in the middle of nowhere which was perfect for us because we just wanted to enjoy the beautiful lake the whole time. But just know there’s nothing really to do or eat around the area. The host was very communicative and helpful. Could use new pots and pans and the water has a funny smell. but… we’re camping and weren’t expecting it to be pristine. Overall, it was clean enough for a cabin in the woods and had everything we wanted. awesome place, we would definitely come back!

We loved this little hidden gem! Right on the water with your own dock too! Dave was very responsive and helpful with everything we needed. The fishing was great too, caught some cat fish and gar right off of the dock.

My family had a wonderful time at the cabin.Lots of room and very comfortable.Bettye and her staff are so friendly and helpful with anything you need.We felt right at home and just loved meeting Anna a very sweet lady across the street.The sunsets here are just amazing over the River I can’t wait to book again soon I hope!10/10👍

It as very peaceful, off the road and a beautiful view of the small lake it sits on. We made this place our home with 5 adults and 2 children under 4, it worked perfectly! Was not cramped feeling and we couldn’t hear anything all spread out if needed.

Deborah was a great host! Very responsive, kind & flexible, as I had to extend my reservation twice. I also enjoyed the peaceful & quiet area. Great for quality sleep. I stayed for over 2.5 months. I will definitely return.

The pictures don't do this beautiful cabin justice. It was even cozier and more charming than we expected! John had so many useful amenities available for us too, ranging from Keurig coffee to plates and toiletries, and even homemade walnut fudge and intriguing spring water! Our stay was so peaceful and the yard with wildflowers was well taken care of.

This is the true meaning of hidden gem, very private in a beautiful setting, both inside & outside the home. Highly recommend! The other gem we found close by was the Hampton Plantation State Historic Site. I've been to many plantations, and this one was extraordinary. Small fee to get in, due to State run, with HUGE impact on what life was like in the 1800's. The house is 10,000 sq ft (3 stories) and when repaired, the walls were left uncovered to see how it was built by slaves. The house inspired the actors & directors of the movie "Gone With The Wind", and the live oak in front of the house was saved by George Washington. So much history!

Lovely property, quiet & private. Hugh stopped in the first day to see if I needed anything. Otherwise, I was completely by myself which is what I needed this week! Everything was as described.

Steve's home was exactly as described....Cozy! It was very peaceful and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying with Steve in the near future.

This is a beautiful place of peace and calm. We really enjoyed the cabin, it was very comfortable , If you are looking for a place to rest from stress, if you want to connect with nature, this is the perfect place. The cabin is equipped with everything, it exceeded our expectations, it’s so lovely, also we enjoyed all the space around the cabin, this area is so gorgeous, excellent for breathing fresh air, amazing, a place surrounded by beautiful nature, we took the opportunity to go for a walk in the mornings. The hospitality of Clayton and Beth was great, they took care of every detail of our stay, they were very attentive , if we needed something , they were always there, so they were really friendly. We felt there right at home. We recommend this place 💯, for sure, you will enjoy it. Ramon y Fernandah

We came into town for my nephew’s wedding in Aynor which was about 30 min away but was worth the drive for the peace and quiet. Upon arrival we met Roy who was very nice and personable. We had an issue with the wifi, but Roy had a tech come out the very next morning. The place was spotless and very comfortable. If we had more time we would have brought the Jon boat to head out on the river. I would highly recommend this rental!

Our stay at the lakehouse was amazing! Stephanie was so responsive and friendly. We loved having the tips on things to do and places to see, so we did not miss out! We went to Rocky Creek Trail for a short and easy hike that includes waterfall views, snagged a boat rental from Dutchman Creek Marina (where the food and drinks are exceptional!), and of course relaxed at the lake house in the many spots to sit and soak in all the lake life. Would absolutely LOVE to come back!
