We stayed for a week in this Airbnb and we had the best time ever. The house has a stunning view over the rice fields and it feels like you’re in the middle of it. I have never seen this many beautiful colorful birds that are casually seen in the garden of the house. It was amazing and we have literally 0 complaints. Everything like it was described. The owner even brought us dinner once and showed us his family. We can definitely recommend this place. Pro tip for dinner: go to Sashadi restaurant it’s 2 minutes walking distance from the Airbnb and it has the best local food we had in all of Sri Lanka! Thank you for the beautiful week.

The Lakeview Villa is a stunning, secluded (despite being not so far away from the closest town) property. Garden is extremely well kept, the interior is well thought out giving the building soul which other more modern villas usually lack. I could spend days marveling the view from the pool. The staff are kind and welcoming. Lesley is a great host, responsive at all times. And my favorite part of the stay - Sonali’s cooking - she is a master of her craft and treated us to dishes leaps and bounds ahead of anything else we ate on the island. The food itself is worth the visit to the house. Do not hesitate to book this property!

Dear Lahiru, and Uncle, Just a heartfelt thank you for a wonderful stay at your villa on Lake Koggala, truly one of the highlights of our trip. Peaceful, relaxing, and full of unforgettable moments. The setting was magical. Waking to the sounds of wildlife, watching bats sweep across the sunset sky, it all felt alive and special. The variety of birds was incredible, and the monkeys made us feel like nature was putting on a show. The pool was a favorite for both me and our 12-year-old—simple joy at its best. The food was another highlight: every meal delicious, full of local flavor, and clearly made with care. After days of exploring, surfing, and touring, returning to the villa felt like stepping into paradise. The sunsets over the lake and the peaceful energy helped us slow down and truly soak it all in. the best stay in Sri Lanka. if you want to feel the nature and power of the ocean you have to live here for a few days. the sound of the ocean was fantastic, the house was clean and equipped. the hosts were very nice and helpful, they even did the laundry! definitely 10/10

Ranjith ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber, immer um seine Gäste bemüht und besorgt. Die Villa mit dem wunderschönen und für uns, perfekten Garten ist schwer zu toppen. Geetha versorgt den Garten sehr liebevoll und unaufdringlich. Die Ausstattung mit den Ventilatoren auf der Terrasse und Klimaanlagen im Haus ist sehr durchdacht. Auch die Beleuchtung sorgt für sehr angenehme Stimmung. Wir haben uns schweren Herzens von Ranjith, Geetha und der wunderschönen Villa getrennt.

This is an extremely cozy house! It is located a little bit deep from the main roads, so it is silence and calm here. I enjoyed here with birds, palms, nature sounds. I was surprised with small quantity of mosquitos here, but for your safety hosts provide you with mosquito net. Oh, God, how it's wonderful to sleep with open doors and windows here - it's smell, sounds..perfect! And to be honest I even didn't use a fan during night's, because the temperature was absolutely comfortable. The villa has rather good WiFi and if you are a remote worker it will suite to you (the day temperature is also good when you open windows and use fan, there is no necessity in AC). Hosts are absolutely cute and caring about you! But villa is located rather far from any shops and beaches (apr. 10 min by bike) - so bike or tuktuk are absolutely necessary here, and there is not a problem to reach this location. Having traveled the entire coast from Galle, I do not want to change this place of living.

The place was fantastic. Exactly as the photos show and we had a wonderful stay. So spacious and clean. It was a bit hard to access as we were travelling by car, I would recommend taking a tuk tuk instead as it would be much easier. Overall fab time :) thank you

A great place where a family can relax and enjoy. Very helpful staff and the chef can cook great dishes. Highly recommend the place worth every penny
