I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

Our house is a privately reserved traditional Kyoto machiya townhouse. Unlike a hotel, the entire house is exclusively for your group, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful and authentic stay in a local Kyoto neighbourhood. Inside the house you will find traditional tatami rooms, natural materials such as wood and clay walls, and a small garden with an open-air bath featuring a Shigaraki ceramic tub. Many guests choose for special occasions such as honeymoons, anniversaries, or memorable journeys.

The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

It is also a convenient location for Nanzenji and Heian Shrine. Kyoumachiya, where ordinary people enjoy the seasons and enjoy daily life, is a relaxing and nostalgic space. It is 92 square meters including the 2nd floor, and the wet area is easy to use and has been renovated, so you can spend it comfortably.
