The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

Neil's Creek, a North Carolina wild trout stream, flows just off of the large, covered porch. Several trailheads are walking distance from the cabin including the summit trail to Mt. Mitchell, the Mountains to Sea trail and Set Rock Falls. Experience the relaxing qualities of nature, waiting for you any time of year.
