My family and I stayed at Gilbert’s cabin for the Christmas Holidays and really enjoyed it. The cabin sits on a large piece of land, so even though there are neighbors it feels very private. It was very quiet and the fire pit outside was the perfect place to stargaze. The cabin is only 10-15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge and there are also plenty of hikes nearby as well. We would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy the lake!

I’m tempted to write a bad review so more dates will be available when I’m ready to come back. This was our 2nd visit and it was great again. So much to do without leaving the house. Fishing, kayaking, volleyball, badminton, ping pong, foosball, fire pit, board games, etc. Great price too! The only problem this time was that the WiFi was a bit spotty, even after a couple resets. Probably for the best though! Looking forward to our next visit soon hopefully.

We had a great time! The home was as expected and very nice. We really enjoyed everything about it. The location, porch, hot tub and fire pit was all a plus.

Cabin 6 absolutely amazed us! The home was stunning, with an open layout and breathtaking lake views from every window—it felt like pure tranquility. Jennifer warmly greeted us, helped with parking, and even assisted in securing a last-minute boat rental. A tip: let Greg and Jennifer know in advance if you want to rent a pontoon to ensure availability. Greg suggested Marina Station and Hiawassee Brew, and we happily indulged in both. We also ventured to Bell Mountain, and the views of Hiawassee were beyond words—simply awe-inspiring and even tear-jerking. Staying at Tranquille is highly recommended for its serene beauty and thoughtful amenities, ensuring a truly relaxing getaway. It’s a perfect spot to recharge and take in nature’s magic!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ruth's Airbnb, and I couldn't be more impressed! From the moment I arrived, Ruth was an incredibly welcoming host, greeting me with warmth and making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The space itself was immaculate, festive decorations, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities I could ask for, from a well-stocked kitchen to plush bedding. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat yet close enough to local attractions. Ruth went above and beyond to make sure I had a seamless experience, providing helpful local recommendations and even a personalized welcome booklet. I felt like I was staying in a home away from home. I left feeling completely refreshed and grateful for such a wonderful experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing and memorable stay, Ruth’s place is definitely the one to book! Highly recommended!

From the moment we put in our reservation Bobby and Dina made us feel so very welcomed. We truly enjoyed our stay at their beautiful home on the river. The peace and tranquility of the home made it a much needed getaway. I would highly recommend this home to anyone staying in the area. Bobby and Dina were super responsive to any requests we had and made some super recommendations of things in the surrounding are. We rode up on motorcycles and the drive in and driveway were very accessible for us to navigate and park. we will definitely be making this our usual place to stay when we're in the area.

Jiri’s place is TRULY a find!! Really a place to unwind and experience beautiful solitude. It is fully stocked, well decorated, and thoughtful. And there’s a private waterfall!! It’s so unfortunate that it rained during my stay, because I was really looking forward to the fire pit. I will visit again and again just to get away from the city life. Next time for a week or two!! He gave so many wonderful suggestions that you may have a different experience each time. Simply PERFECT!

We spend a few days after Christmas and the place was clean and quiet to relax , we definitely stay here again .

My brother and I treated our mom to a weekend getaway to celebrate her 80th birthday. The “Flying Squirrel” was perfect! Great floor plan, beautiful interior design, comfortable beds, and plenty of thoughtful extras! If you’re looking for a true “get-away-from-it-all”….this is it!

The most perfect place for a relaxed and quiet getaway! My husband and I drove up here from Florida for our honeymoon. It was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable that we felt right at home. We hardly left the cabin, there was plenty to do right there. Canoeing on the lake with our dog was the highlight of the trip. 10/10 would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay, and would rate this as one of the most peaceful, places we have stayed. The home was very clean, modern and had everything we needed and more. The hosts were so amazing and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home- which we absolutely did! I have already recommended this stay to several of my friends and look forward to coming back.

My family and I had a great stay at the lazy bear cabin during the Thanksgiving holiday. The main goal was cooking a great meal together. The kitchen has every gadget, tray & cooking utensil you could possibly need. Dinner turned out to be a huge success. We played various games together and thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. This cabin does sit on a steep mountain. For future guests, the only thing I think you should know is the lake access is a small hike down the hill to get down to the lake. Getting back up to the house from the lake is not for everyone. It was quite the strenuous mini hike up hill for all of us. Maybe it was harder because of the cold weather but it knocked the wind out of all of us. Gazing at the stars at night off the dock made up for it. Being from Miami where we don’t see stars, It’s one of the most amazing views I’ve ever seen. The emotion of it knocked me to my knees as my eyes watered. I also did little hiking as the area is absolutely beautiful.

This cabin was a great find. We stayed here for the weekend and it didn’t disappoint. Private lot, play structure for kids and even some toys for them to play with. I will say that I do recommend taking a truck or suv. The road to the cabin is a little bumpy and unpaved but we had no trouble getting to the cabin. We would definitely stay again if we travel back to Ellijay!

Gina was super helpful and responsive. This was a very last minute booking but even still the home was clean and ready for our arrival! Perfect fit for our family of 5. Loved the coziness of the house and the peaceful “backyard” with a path down by the river for exploring. We felt very safe and found lots of great hikes nearby. The only thing I would say is that my Google maps tried to take me to a different house a little further up the hill. Thankfully, we just kept going and were easily able to see the correct address number clearly once we got to the bottom of the drive. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful, clean and had a great time

My boyfriend and I recently enjoyed a delightful getaway at this cabin, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Its prime location and excellent amenities made our stay truly special. The cabin was easy to find and immaculately clean, with a wonderfully comfortable bed and a fully-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. After a long day of exploring, we loved unwinding in the hot tub—it was pure bliss! Dave and his team were incredibly responsive and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Having traveled from Europe, we've experienced our fair share of destinations and hosts—some wonderful, and others not so much. But I can honestly say this has been the best hosting experience we've ever had. My three-year-old even called it his “Christmas home,” and we truly felt like we were at home here. The cabin was beautiful, spotless, and had everything we could possibly need. Ms. Jill, our host, was incredibly kind and accommodating, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much for making our New Year’s celebration one we’ll never forget!

River Zen was a very nice spot for us to spend time away for our anniversary. The river was peaceful and the cabin was clean. The kitchen was stocked well for me to cook a few meals. The bed was comfy and I liked reading the books that were in the sitting room. We watched the baby ducks while we ate breakfast. I will say that Googles GPS was incorrect after we crossed the bridge coming in but all in all we had a great time!
